A-Town Disc Jockey

Great DJ, Great price!! We had Shawn from A-town DJ do our wedding in May. He was great! He was really easy to work with and was a really chill, non-cheesy DJ. He did all the mics for our ceremony officiant and musicians and was at the sight preparing way before we were. We picked all our songs and he knew just when to play them. The dance floor was packed all night and we were really happy with the flow of music. And, I really researched DJs in Austin and A-town is VERY reasonably priced. I felt like we got a lot (hours, ceremony and reception) for much less than other DJs were offering. I would definitely recommend A-town DJ to anyone looking for a wedding DJ.

Shawn was a fabulous, low-key DJ. He made announcements as needed but it wasn't about him -- it was about the music. He spent time with the couple and their parents a month before to get an idea for music styles, he was flexible about music choices out of left field, and he put together great background music for reception and dinner. Once the dancing started he did a great job of managing guest requests with the pre-selected music choices. He had us all dancing from start to finish. I highly recommend Shawn!

Keith did a great job as our DJ, both in helping us plan and on the day of the wedding. He was very organized, super professional, and did a wonderful job in facilitating the flow of the reception. When I was first given the song list, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of recent songs, but we were able to add several songs that we wanted that were not already on his list. I was very pleased by his ability to mix our "must-play" songs with others to create a fun atmosphere for the reception.

Some girls dream about their dress, some dream about their flowers... Way before my my new husband & I were engaged, I started imagining the music we would have at our wedding. So I must say that Keith at A-Town DJ did a great job of making my dreams a reality! We had some non-traditional and off-beat music for both the ceremony and wedding, and I really appreciate his flexibility and willingness to handle the music exactly as we wanted. I was picky about what I did and didn't want to hear at the wedding/reception, and Keith kept that in consideration the whole time. He was very open to my requests and suggestions. Keith has worked at my venue (Shoreline Grill) many times, and I appreciated the fact that he was familiar with the layout and had recommendations on what to do for sound outside during the ceremony. The only regret I have is that we didn't have any special lighting for the dancefloor - I thought I had read that it was part of the package so I assumed there would be something, but I wish I'd asked. In any case, we had a great time and got several compliments on Keith and the music he played!!

Keith was our DJ and he was fantastic. He was flexible and organized and walked us through the entire reception so that we knew things would keep moving along. On the night of the event he read the crowd and played great music that kept people up and moving without it feeling like a club. He was great to work with.

Shawn kept the party going all night. He was super flexible, didn't steal our thunder like some DJ's tend to do and played music exactly off our playlist. He seemed to have as much fun as we did. Their rates are very reasonable too.

We got sooo many compliments on Shawn. Everyone loved the music, from our grandparents to our friends. He very much outperformed our expectations. He played exactly what we asked him to exactly when we asked him to, and when the plans changed because we were late he was flawless in adjusting. He filled in the gaps with excellent music. He made all of our announcements from when we arrived to our dances and when we needed to call people together for pictures. Very professional. I couldn't have chosen a better DJ.
