As the lead wedding planner at Weddings by Kennedy, it takes a dedicated and creative team to make every event we do a success. I’ve done everything from weddings to social and corporate events, asking the best and most talented of Austin to work alongside us to pull-off fabulous events. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Christian and his musical genius for the past two years. I have worked with Christian on weddings, social, and corporate events; making him a go-to person for almost anything our clients dream up. His flexibility and range of talent transition him easily from a classic wedding to more fun, upbeat events such as Austin Monthly’s Annual Bachelor Party and Best Party Ever for Leadership Austin. David, our Altared Weddings DJ, was responsive and friendly in communication before the event. When the big day rolled around the ceremony music and sound went off without a hitch. Music was played during dinner and when it was time for the dancing, David was spot on. Playing music from the songs I suggested, getting tunes on to get the crowd dancing, and as the reception thinned from family to close friends (the younger crowd) he judged the mood and we danced until the very end. Two out of town guests said they wanted to hit a dance club while in town but after our wedding, they decided not to--knowing they had just attended the best dance club in town. *Don't worry if you don't want that much grooving at your event--we requested and wanted that vibe.* I own an event space and plan to hire David and Altared Weddings again, for parties, and definitely plan to refer other brides to their services.

Our wedding day DJ was Christian with Altared Weddings. Christian went above and beyond to make our music just right for our big day. I received a phone call the week of our wedding to just go over some of my music preferences. Christian was very easy to talk to and I felt very comfortable knowing that he was going to be in charge of our music. On our big day I was not let down, Christian was an amazing DJ and he had such a great upbeat attitude. I was confident the whole night that he was playing the perfect music for our wide variety of guests. Christian was very talented at finding the mood of the majority of people and then playing the perfect tunes to get them going. He also got people dancing that I didn't know would ever dance! Having Christian be our DJ was one of the best decisions I made. He is the perfect DJ. We received many compliments on how great our DJ was. Thanks Christian!

Ryan, thank you for an amazing party. You were right when you said I wouldn't hear my ceremony music. I didn't. But on videos people have shared, it's awesome. Thanks for your guidance. Then, when you kicked off the party, it was ON. You played everything we wanted and more. We kept the dancing going longer than I ever expected. It was a killer party and that's what we wanted. Thank you so much. Ladies and gents, don't waste your time or money looking for some pre-teen with an iPod... if music and party time is a priority, do not hesitate to call Ryan, set a meeting, and book them. It's worth a restructuring of budgetary funds if you want a real DJ who provides the backdrop of the best night of your life....

Christian was awesome and really listened to what we wanted. He put up with all of our song requests during the reception and we had such a blast dancing all night. He was very personable and professional and I would absolutely recommend him! Thanks, Christian!

A very good experience all the way around. My daughter's wedding was in an outside location where there was no electricity, but with their quiet generator, they were able to get sound to the wedding for music as well as the Officiate. They were more than accommodating and we were very pleased. And the dance music at the reception was also awesome! It was a better party because of their service!

I contacted altared weddings from a friends referall. It was just a couple of days before the event and they came through like true professionls. David helped to keep us on track and filled in the blanks when we needed him to. I put 100 percent trust in him and he was awesome. I will refer altared weddings services to any and all friends and family. I will use them for future gatherings.

On November 5, 2011, I married the love of my life at Old Glory Ranch and our wedding was awesome! Let me begin with stating that I was the most lazy, unorganized bride during the entire planning process but I had a lot of energy around three things: the food, the booze, and the music. Ryan of Altared Weddings was a great find after many hours of researching. When we met with Ryan during our first meeting it was obvious that he totally got the vibe we wanted for our big day. He was a total pro keeping the party going till the wee hours of the night. The guests were out of their seats dancing and having a great time which was our ultimate goal. I would highly recommend Ryan of Altared Weddings for any occasion.

RYAN was PERFECTION!!! All of the details that go into a wedding can get pretty daunting...the DJ portion of my wedding was my LEAST traumatizing. I had a few select songs that I wanted for first dance, etc. then I had picked a few for certain friends to be played during the dance. The rest was mostly left up to Ryan and his own professional opinion based on the sampling of music likes and dislikes that he had from me. The dance was STELLAR!! Everyone danced the WHOLE night and a bride could not ASK for a better DJ!!! All my guests raved about how great he was and about how FUN the dance was. I TOTALLY recommend Ryan and his team for any of your functions; you will NOT be disappointed and he will take a huge burden off of your plate if you do not have the time to pick every single song. Ryan is a master of the bootie-shaking, hand-waving, foot-stomping good time!!

Altared was FANTASTIC to work with. Hands down one of the easiest to work with and they just "get it." I would highly recommend any bride to use them for any and all of their services. Loved our deejay. :)

I was very happy I hired Altared for videography services at my wedding. The interaction I had with Ryan and Tyler before the wedding, the services provided by Tyler on the day of, the final product of the Highlight Film, and the professional packaging of their product were all top notch. The Altared staff were incredibly friendly and easy to work with. While at the wedding, Tyler did a miraculous job of blending into the crowd, yet still capturing every important moment of the night. The highlight film was perfect! It was fun to watch, captured our emotions throughout the night, and received rave reviews from all of our family and friends who watched it.

Tommy was our DJ for our wedding -- AWESOME! Everyone came up to me during the night and said the music was really good. Even after the wedding, we received raving comments about the music and Tommy. He has club experience which was a quality we liked about him. We wanted it to be a big dance party and it definitely was. People who normally don't dance, were on the dance floor. He knew what the crowd liked and went with the flow of the night. I was worried that we would have to supply him with all the songs - I didn't have the time for that. We gave him the genres we liked and he put together a great song after another throughout the night. He knows his music! Thanks Tommy!!

Ryan and his team were amazing to work with. Although the video won’t be here for a couple of months, it was awesome to work with them. The lighting was amazing in the venue. It really brought it to life, and we couldn’t stop dancing in the Gobo. Highly recommend them for lighting, as they made the cake look so beautiful. They were extremely nice and very helpful during the wedding. Based off of just working with them, we give them A+ for being prompt, accommodating, patient and willing to please. We love working with Ryan and the DJ's review is not a reflection on his company what so ever, but we had to be honest. Christian-- the DJ--- This review is hard, because we love Altared Weddings and Ryan the owner. Originally we booked Ryan to be the DJ, and he called 2 weeks out asking if Chris could be substituted in. I agreed because Chris had really awesome reviews on Weddingwire. We told Chris that we wanted to recreate the dancehall theme of where we met. We wanted primarily new country, with some top 40 dance songs every now and then. What we got was a bunch of old country, with some old top 40 in there. They had a song questionnaire that I spent months working on, and every song I asked to be played during the dancing, was played during dinner. I was really disappointed with that. Also, Chris played my last song, in the middle of the reception, and I was beyond done at that point. He did get our ceremony, 1st song, and songs with our parents right, so that is why we are giving Chris better grade than failing. I just wish he had done what we asked, because no one really enjoyed the music. Christian apologized at the end of the night for playing the last song, but you can’t get memories back… I appreciated his professionalism and had he really understood what we wanted, I think he would have been awesome.

My husband and I were very privileged to have Christian DJ for our ceremony and reception, and we must say that we had an amazing experience! Christian was very much in contact with me before our wedding day, helping us organize our music selections and figure out the time line for the day. He was very flexible and very much at ease, which in turn helped me feel much better about our big day! We have nothing but good things to say about Christian and Altared Weddings! We HIGHLY recommend them!

Ryan was the DJ at our wedding this summer! He was awesome! He was very flexible when our wedding schedule got off a bit! He worked well with our wedding planner and was on top of the play list. I would highly recommend Altared Weddings! They helped to make our wedding day great!

We were on the fence as to whether or not to do video for the wedding. I'm SO glad we did b/c there was so much that we either don't remember or just weren't able to see like our guests did. Ryan was fantastic to work with and his work it top notch!Highly recommend! Ryan was also our DJ -- he spend 1x1 time with us putting together our play list and customizing just to what we wanted. Everyone loved the music -- it was a great mix that had everyone dancing the entire night.

I'm thrilled with my decision to go with Altared Weddings. Had 80 ppl at my wedding in Fredericksburg and many people danced that I didn't even think WOULD dance at my wedding...great music selections and very professional. nothing cheesy. They have a wonderful online tool that you are able to add songs and modify as you are doing your wedding planning. This was a great way to communicate exactly what you wanted and what you didn't want, ryan had it all down on paper and read from it all night, i notice those things. I'm still receiving compliments about our wedding entertainment. The rates are very reasonable for the quality level, i have planned entertainment for several charity functions in the past. I'm very glad that we invested in quality entertainment for our wedding.
