Amazing Kakes

Our cake was AMAZING!!! We had so many compliments on how beautiful it was as well as how INCREDIBLE it tastes. And the best part is we dont have a top cake tier sitting in our freezer waiting to eat at our one year anniversary because they will send us a fresh one on our anniversary instead!!!

Yvette Rocks!! We could tell as soon as we met her that she was passionate about her cakes. Then we tried them...mercy!! It's hard to find a cake with fondant that actually tastes decent matched with a good tasting cake and hers way over-exceeded on both. We wanted to have cakes that would be long-remembered and she nailed it. She made us a 4-tier upside down cake (with the smallest piece on bottom & largest on top) and it turned out fantastic! The main focus was on the groom's cake. We wanted the groom's cake to look like a cigar humidor. Not resemble one, actually LOOK like one. She made a chocolate fondant with a woodgrain look and pulled it off wonderfully. I had people at the wedding excited about the open humidor and were asking if the cigars were handouts (they didn't realize they were chocolate cigars laying on top) and if they could have one. She hit the nail on the head and impressed the whole wedding party. The almond cake with the amaretto layer was delicious as well as it was gorgeous. Oh yeah, and the best part, she makes a small anniversary cake for you a year after (instead of freezing the cake top for a year) so you have a fresh cake for your 1 year anniversary instead of a frostbitten, soggy, thawed out, year old cake. I have to say the cakes that yvette did an outstanding job. She got all our information on what we wanted and the taste test was superb. There are some down falls like the fondant on the outside of the cakes was a little thicker than we thought it would be but once you got to the cakes themselves they were great. She is very friendly and works well with military and others. She is very professional and delivers a great product. I really like that she asked us for something to challenge her and is not afraid to take it on. I want to thank you Yvette and if we ever know of anyone that is getting married in the area we will definately get your name out there.

She is one of the top cake decorators recommended by the Red Corral Ranch in Wimberley, TX and for a good reason! My husband and I were married on September 19, and from the beginning of our planning time, Yvette was so helpful! Just by looking at her pictures of the cakes she can do I was sold! I brought I picture in for Yvette of the exact cake I wanted, and she got it down perfectly! My husband is a police officer, so his groom's cake was his patch. Again, perfect! She had everything delivered to the reception site on time, and setup ready to go! Not only are her cakes amazing, but the taste is even better! We had a red velvet cake with buttercream icing. I have received so many compliments regarding the cakes that I was shocked! I knew my husband and I loved the look and taste of the cakes, but to hear how many of our guests told us the cakes were great just confirmed that I had the perfect person create our wedding and groom's cake. I would like to say that one of the things I liked most about my wedding was my cake!! Yvette not only made my cakes to my specification, but they were also beautiful and tasted AMAZING! She definitely took the time to really understand how I wanted my cakes to look, even if it required extra time to think through how to incorporate all the themes I wanted my cake to represent. We had Yvette make both our wedding and groom's cake, and they truly were AMAZING! Most of our communication was carried out via email and through drawings because we had an out of town wedding, and both of the cakes looked and tasted incredible. They exceeded our expectations! She also gives a 15% discount for firefighters, police officers, and military! My husband is a firefighter, and the cost for our wedding and groom's cake for 125 people totaled $600 (this included delivery). And the wedding cake had 4 layers/tier! All I can say is AMAZING!!

In addition to being incredibly talented, Yvette is charming and easy to work with. She listened to our ideas and requests and delivered a stellar cake. We had many compliments from guests on both, the artistry and the taste!

We worked with Yvette for our August 2008 wedding. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. We loved our wedding cake and she did an amazing job on my husbands groom cake. It was a Chinook Helicopter! She has very good communication and quick response time. I would recommend using this vendor for your wedding cake needs! Her prices were also very fair! Yvette Humbert of Amazing Cakes of Austin created two masterpieces for our wedding and my husband and I cannot say enough great things about her! She is professional, kind, punctual, and artistically gifted. You can tell that she loves her job and that she's doing what she is meant to be doing!I planned my Austin wedding from a different city while I was in the middle of a busy year of law school, so I didn't want to stress about my wedding cake and worry about whether it would look or taste right. After visiting a few other Austin area vendors, my mom, fiancee and I met with Yvette at a convenient location, and she made us feel at ease about her ability to create what we envisioned for our wedding, even though we weren't quite sure what we wanted! After seeing some of Yvette's prior work, we knew we were in amazingly good hands! It was important for me that our cake represent some of the countries I grew up in, and Yvette completely understood this and ran with our theme and color scheme. These women did such a wonderful job. the cakes where fabulous, they looked beautiful and elegant, and there tasted fantastic. the women where kind and helpful when it came to getting what I wanted, they delivered to my event and set the cakes up, and the price was well in my budget.
