Amazing Kakes

Not only are their cakes yummy, but Yvette and Kim are some of the nicest and friendliest ladies, great personalities. The lace overlay on my cake didn't quite turn out as I thought it would but the cake was still beautiful and tastey. And one of the coolest things that they do is if you have your wedding cake done by Amazing Kakes, you get a 6 inch anniversary cake for your 1 year anniversary so you don't have to eat 1 year old frozen cake---a great idea.

My husband and I were looking for a wedding cake vendor in Austin and checked out several different options here. We knew we wanted an "Indian-looking" cake for our Indian wedding reception, but we didn't really know what that might look like. Enter Yvette and Kim. What we loved instantly about Amazing Kakes, and what made us select them right away, was their enthusiasm and genuine excitement about everything to do with our wedding! Once we decided we wanted the cake to look like stacked cushions, they got to work right away on the design.. from asking for samples of our invitations to pictures of my wedding outfit and even actual cushion covers to replicate - they were all over the project with not much brainstorming required from our side! We ended up giving them a couple of cushion covers and a sample of my outfit to work with, and the result was INCREDIBLE. Words can't express how impressive the cake looked, I don't believe there was a single guest (or person checking out my wedding album on Facebook!) who did not awe and gush at the cake! It was truly an "Amazing Kake"! Even better, it tasted JUST as great as it looked! We thought the leftovers would last as longer but there wasn't much chance of that with how delicious it was!I highly recommend Yvette and Kim at Amazing Kakes to everyone, we had a wonderful experience working with them and are truly grateful to them for the masterpiece they created just for us. Amazing kakes were awesome. The cupcakes we to die for but what really stole the show was the grooms cake. They made my husband a cake out of the texas tower!! People still talk about it.plus,the ladies are friendly and great to work with.

The cake was absolutely AMAZING!!! Everyone at the wedding absolutely loved it and were so complementary. You can tell that these ladies love their job! They were incredibly professional and completely put us at ease.

Yvette did an amazing 7 tier cake and an awesome golf green groom's cake for our wedding of 400 guests! The creative process and tasting was a fun experience! Yvette was easy to work with and listened to our ideas and made them more than we could have ever expected! All of our guests raved about how gorgeous and delicious our cakes were! We highly recommend Yvette and her team!

Amazing!!! My husband wanted a catfish grooms cake.It was perfect!!! The best chocolate cake we have ever had.From start to finish there service was above and beyond!!!Prices were very reasonable. All the guest had to have a picture Of it!!!

After reading all the reviews, Amazing Kakes was the only baker with whom we scheduled a tasting, and after one taste, we were hooked. Amazing Kakes truly lives up to its name: our cake looked absolutely amazing, and it tasted even better. Our cake was three layers (plus two more faux layers, for no additional cost), and each layer was a different flavor. Expecting a few people to get a second piece because of the different flavors, we ordered enough cake to feed 120 people, although we were only expecting 100. We ended up with just over 70 guests. Our guests kept going back for seconds and thirds, and we had no leftovers! Seventy people ate enough cake for 120! The only downside to having such a delicious cake is we had none to take home except the single piece of each flavor the venue saved for us. Fortunately, Amazing Kakes will bake us a fresh cake for our first anniversary, complementary with the purchase of a wedding cake – no year-old, freezer-burned cake for us. We can’t wait!

Really enjoyed working with these ladies---they knew exactly what we wanted and helped create the perfect cakes from our vision. Would definitely recommend them to everyone!

Kim and Yvette created the most "amazing" cake I have ever seen. It was so beautiful that it didn't look real. So many of the guests went on and on about the cake that I felt like it held the place of honor. I almost felt guilty to cut such a beautiful creation. It was truly a work of art and tasted good too! We chose Italian Cream and were very happy with our choice.

Amazing Kakes came highly recommended by our wedding coordinator and they did not disappoint. We chose to go with cake balls of various different flavors and a small cake for the topper which held a set of bobble heads. The flavor of the cake balls and small cake was amazing and incredibly moist. The cake balls were a hit at the wedding with both the kids and the adults and we were thrilled with the outcome. Kim and Yvette did a fabulous job on my husband's groom's cake. He wanted something out of the ordinary and they went out of their way to create it from a small toy and a website that highlighted the design of a larger version of an Imperial Star Destroyer. I was more than blown away when they delivered it and it was just like the toy- ONLY larger!!! It even had working lights! Amazing Kakes outdid themselves!

Our cake was AMAZING!!! We had so many compliments on how beautiful it was as well as how INCREDIBLE it tastes. And the best part is we dont have a top cake tier sitting in our freezer waiting to eat at our one year anniversary because they will send us a fresh one on our anniversary instead!!!

Yvette was fantastic! My husband and I could feel her enthusiasm and passion during the first meeting we had with her. She was so excited to make our cakes and it was very obvious that her job is more than just a job. Yvette is definitely an artist! Our cake was beautiful, and funky (we wanted something "offbeat") Thanks to Yvette to adding the uniqueness we desired on our Special Day!

Yvette Rocks!! We could tell as soon as we met her that she was passionate about her cakes. Then we tried them...mercy!! It's hard to find a cake with fondant that actually tastes decent matched with a good tasting cake and hers way over-exceeded on both. We wanted to have cakes that would be long-remembered and she nailed it. She made us a 4-tier upside down cake (with the smallest piece on bottom & largest on top) and it turned out fantastic! The main focus was on the groom's cake. We wanted the groom's cake to look like a cigar humidor. Not resemble one, actually LOOK like one. She made a chocolate fondant with a woodgrain look and pulled it off wonderfully. I had people at the wedding excited about the open humidor and were asking if the cigars were handouts (they didn't realize they were chocolate cigars laying on top) and if they could have one. She hit the nail on the head and impressed the whole wedding party. The almond cake with the amaretto layer was delicious as well as it was gorgeous. Oh yeah, and the best part, she makes a small anniversary cake for you a year after (instead of freezing the cake top for a year) so you have a fresh cake for your 1 year anniversary instead of a frostbitten, soggy, thawed out, year old cake. My cakes were beautiful, Yvette was very flexible and able to pull off a beautiful custom grooms cake.

I wish I could include a photo here because I promise you that Yvette's cakes are the most amazing you will ever see. I simply could not have been happier with this delicious art. We had a smaller budget for cakes but it looked like we spent spared no expense on them. In fact, the cakes were the most flawless part of the wedding and are still talked about by everyone - including some folks who weren't even there. First, there was the big wedding cake that was so elegant and ridiculously yummy. But then there was the show-stealing groom's cake, which had a huge line around the table of people taking pictures. It was shaped into the most true-to-life stack of travel books of all the places my husband and I had visited. The detail was shocking. They were so real looking, in fact, that one late arriving guest actually leaned on it with his elbow thinking it was an actual stack of books. A magazine that was covering the wedding requested extra photos of only one thing - the cakes! Frankly, Yvette under-charges for her masterpieces and is so flexible and available that you just want to hug her for making something easy about the wedding planning. It is by far the best money you will spend on your wedding. Yvette is nothing short of a miracle worker.

I have to say the cakes that yvette did an outstanding job. She got all our information on what we wanted and the taste test was superb. There are some down falls like the fondant on the outside of the cakes was a little thicker than we thought it would be but once you got to the cakes themselves they were great. She is very friendly and works well with military and others. She is very professional and delivers a great product. I really like that she asked us for something to challenge her and is not afraid to take it on. I want to thank you Yvette and if we ever know of anyone that is getting married in the area we will definately get your name out there.
