Chateau on the Creek

Kathy was great. I loved how easy the whole thing was. I can honestly say, that the wedding went off without a hitch. Kathy made sure that all the vendors were coordinated with her on our wedding day and I didn't have to worry about a thing. And if you haven't ever seen the place; it is like heaven in the country. I couldn't have dreamed for a better site, coordinator, or facility. She and the facility was just amazing.

The Chateau on the Creek is an absolutely beautiful outdoor venue for a wedding. In addition to the Chateau being a wonderfully beautiful placefor a wedding, the pricing is great, and the flexible package deal makes the process of coordinating catering/floral/music/etc much easier. On top of it all Kathy is very knowlegable and helped guide us through the process with her expertise and advice. From the beginning Kathy helped us decide what style of wedding best fit us, and helped make the entire process as laid back and enjoyable as possible. Taking the stress out of the work leading up to the wedding helped us enjoy our big day that much more. Kathy was very flexible with special requests we had and her package deals are also very flexible, allowing you to take out certain items if you would like to customize certain areas of you wedding day. But the experience at Chateau on the Creek really begins and ends with Kathy. She is simply the nicest person and you can tell she truly cares about those she helps and wants them to have a great wedding day.

Let me say first, the venue was GORGEOUS! For my May wedding, the awesome canopy of giant oaks definitely kept my guests and wedding party cool. The location was central and there was lots of room (inside and outside) for my 150 guest wedding.Kathy was awesome about answering my questions and letting us come up to the venue multiple times to check it out before we booked it. However, after we booked it (and didn't chose their package deal or preferred vendors) the customer service went downhill a bit.I can't speak for how it is if you pay for the package, but we only payed for use of the venue the day of and this was what we found...As far as catering goes, you HAVE to hire their servers no matter what (unless your own vendor's servers will stay all night and after the wedding to mop up the floors afterwards). Our main struggle was on this topic.It probably wouldn't have been so bad, but when we asked for her servers to then serve the buffet (so we wouldn't have to pay for servers from the caterer) she said they would be too busy busing the tables. We also asked if one server could act as the "bartender" for our non-alcoholic Italian soda bar. She responded that "someone would keep an eye on it" but to the best of my knowledge that didn't happen.Most specific requests about moving her servers around were answered with a "no... that's one of the perks of using OUR catering package!"If we are paying for extra servers, we should be able to put them where we need them.Also, I wish there had been more time to get ready at the venue. We were only allowed in 2 hours before the ceremony started, which I believe is pretty standard for the Chateau's policy.The day of, we couldn't find Kathy anywhere while we were getting ready. My mom and I tried to find her on multiple separate occasions for one reason or another, and were unsuccessful. There was another planner there whom I had never met before who was able to help with most issues, and it could have been that Kathy was dealing with other things regarding the wedding, but knowing she was around would have been a little less nerve wrecking.When it came time for the ceremony, everything went off without a hitch! Kathy and her assistant planner did an AWESOME job making sure everyone was in the right place and that the timing for the walk was right. (We went over it thoroughly at the rehearsal dinner the evening before, which Kathy also ran very smoothly)The dance floor was the perfect size. I had my doubts about it but all 150 guests fit in with lots of room for cake cutting, dancing, and the food buffet. Kathy also helped us cut the cake, which was great. It was one less thing to worry about when planning!I received many many compliments on the location. The greenery and gazebo was an awesome backdrop, the inside was beautiful. I definitely loved the look of the venue. And for the cost, you just can't beat what you see.The deposit was sent back quickly, also a plus. Overall, while I loved the look, size, and cost of the Chateau... I probably would not suggest this venue to a friend. Just for the lack of customer service.She mentioned once or twice, when we posed a request, that "that is a perk of getting the package!".While I understand the bonuses that come with a package deal, I do think that respect for your customers and their wishes should come with any use of services.

We got married on May 21st at Chateau on the Creek. Everything from A-Z was amazing and went exactly as I had hoped. We got the package deal and the planning was a piece of cake. It was very easy to set up meetings with Kathy, she was responsive to my every need and I had absolutely no issues with planning my big day. The day of the wedding everything went perfectly. Kathy was there every step of the way allowing me to personalize and even make last minute changes. We used their recommended caterer for BBQ and we got so many complements on how great it was, and these were hard core BBQ connoisseurs. We got Kathy to make our cakes too, and they were also amazing. They were exactly like I had requested down to the last detail. I had several guests tell me they were the best wedding cakes they had ever tasted. We hired her referred bartender and brought our own alcohol. Again, without a hitch, perfect. We had her sister, also a preferred vendor, do our flowers. She did a beautiful job, taking my sample pictures and replicating every detail. The only outside vendor I used was my photographer. I had no problems at all doing this and the setting at the Chateau made a beautiful backdrop for all my wedding photos. The venue was the perfect size for my 100 person guest list and Kathy's recommended DJ played all the songs I picked, exactly as I wanted and did a superb job. We even picked one of Kathy's recommended ministers and we couldn't have asked for a better ceremony. Overall, it was the perfect wedding experience. If I had it to do again, I wouldn't change a thing and I would recommend the Chateau without question. This experience made me wonder why so many people stress out about their wedding planning...not this bride!

This facility is absolutely beautiful and the professionalism and attention to detail was impeccable. I could not have asked for more from The Chateau for the amount that we paid for the facility! The cakes and food was absolutely delicious! The DJ and the other professionals from their recommended list did a great job and made the night a huge success! A previous review stated that she was only allowed to enter the Chateau 2 hours ahead of time. In all of my research for our wedding, that is pretty standard for facilities. Kathy was great about making sure I was set up in the bridal suite, and then she stepped back to allow me to dress and not be an intrusion on us. However, if I ever needed anything either she or one of her staff was right there to help. We did choose to use the caterers in her package. The food was fantastic and our guests raved about the Macaroni and Cheese! Once again, I think you have to be realistic about the fact that if you are using an outside caterer, then you need to pay those caterers to serve and clean up their catering rather than trying to cut corners to get something that you really haven't paid for. Or, you need to hire additional staff from The Chateau to serve the food that you got from an outside source without servers. From what I saw at my wedding, the staff at the Chateau was completely focused on taking care of my guests and making sure that our needs were met. They cleaned plates from tables, they cut and served cake, and they made sure my guests were well tended for. Had they been otherwise engaged, my guests would not have had the experience that they did. When I left that night, I felt like I had the wedding that I had dreamed about. Kathy, Angie, and the rest of the staff made my wedding everything I had hoped. My bridesmaids couldn't believe what a beautiful wedding I had, and my family is still talking about it as they look through my beautiful pictures. I would 100% recommend The Chateau and Kathy's services to a friend who is getting married! Thank you Kathy and Chateau on the Creek for making my big day a treasured memory!

Kathy was extremely helpful and her experience in planning was so valuable. She was never more than a phone call away for questions and called me with reminders when deadlines were approaching. The ceremony and reception were beyond amazing...we kept waiting for something to go wrong and it never did! On top of it all, the cake was delicious! This is the one and only place we looked at when venue shopping, and I'm positive we made the right decision.

We're not sure where the other birdes went for there wedding, cause Chateau on the Creek went out of their way to take care of us. Kathy's family has been in the business for many of years and it shows. They were responsive to all our needs and took great care of us the entire evening. Kathy and Janet didn't just serve us but also my Aunt and Grandmother whom are physicaly challenged. The entire day from set up of the Ceremony to when we said farewell was so seamless. We could'nt have been more pleased to have had our lives come together in such a wonderfully warm venue.Thank you Hunt Family. B.M.

I really can't emphasize what a wonderful experience we had with Kathy and the Chateau on the Creek! Everything was easy and relaxed and it was such a beautiful day! It was wonderful to have the DJ, caterer and cakes included because it took the stress off of having to find those vendors separately. The food was wonderful, and there are lots of options in the packages. The cakes were beyond beautiful and DELICIOUS!! Kathy was a joy to work with, and made everything so easy. She doubled as a day-of-coordinator making sure that the rehearsal and wedding were running right on schedule. The grounds of the Chateau on the Creek are beautiful and the running creek provides a wonderful soundtrack to an outdoor wedding. The only thing that might be a drawback for other brides is the 5 hour timeframe that is allotted for the evening weddings and reception (4 hours are included on the reception-only plan) so if you are having a wedding right before sunset in the early fall, this makes for an early end to the evening.

We had the reception at Chateau on the Creek. It was a beautiful location that offered both indoor and outdoor seating. The owner also helps with wedding planning. They decorate and almost everything for you in preparation for the day. Very nice to work with. I wouldn't have had my wedding anywhere else.

The Chateu on the Creek was the perfect place to Host our Wedding Reception. It was big enough to throw a great party, but small enough to still be an intimate affair. The front lawn, gazeebo, and creekside view are breathtaking. The Chateau offers fantastic packages for catering, cakes, DJ, etc, though we booked out vendors before they offered the package we did use most of their "prefered vendors" which saved us some money, and made the event flow. Though the venue is new, the staff offers many years of experience which makes for a flawless event. The reservation does include nice decor, but we were meet with some resistance when we tried to upgrade/ customize the decor. In the end it was all worked out.
