Heavenly Gourmet

We selected Heavenly Gourmet because of their professionalism, courteousness, deliciousness, and timeliness. We were explained all expenses, extras provided, and plenty of details. We had a tasting and knew exactly what we wanted. On the day of our wedding reception they arrived early and had the place set up before everyone got there. This avoided the awkwardness like other caterers set up while reception is already going on. We initially set it up to have a buffet but they changed it up and offered to serve all of our guests instead. I was so happy with that. It was a wonderful surprise. My husband loved their zucchini, yeast rolls, potatoes, and stuffed chicken. The mac and cheese they served for the children was great and on the list of comfort food. I am amazed at how well everything turned out. The food for the reception was 10x better than it was at the tasting and the tasting went pretty awesome. Heavenly Gourmet has all kinds of food and I'm glad we went with the comfort food! Thank God For Heavenly Gourmet!

Heavenly Gourmet did an amazing job at my wedding. The food was wonderful and received rave reviews from my guest. Everyone loved the food and the prompt service. We had a buffet line and they got 130 guests through the line quickly and efficently.

My husband and I could not have been happier with the catering services we received from Heavenly Gourmet for our wedding. From the very beginning of the planning process with their free tastings we were hooked! We were able to bring our best man, maid of honor and our 2 girls with us for free tasting of everything they had to offer. For our wedding we offered a meal choice to our guests. We chose there heavenly stuffed chicken, which totally lives up to its name! We had originally chosen a steak dish and later decided to change our minds and Perla created a beautiful steak dish that was absolutely amazing! We had a couple picky vegetarian guests, that Perla accommodated with a delicious stuffed portobella mushroom. We also had passed appetizers at our cocktail hour. We chose the stuffed mushrooms, caprese salad on baguette, and a beef tenderloin on a pita chip with carmelized onions........all of which were absolutely divine. They even made sure to save us some appetizers for when we were done with our pictures so that we were able to enjoy as well. And we must add that even though our venue did not have a kitchen and our meals had to be cooked off site, every single steak arrived to the guests at the perfect medium temperature which we found absolutely amazing! You will definitely not be disappointed with everything that Heavenly Gourmet has to offer!

I had several friends use Heavenly Gourmet and I heard nothing but wonderful comments about their food and their service. I didn't even meet with any other caterers; we went straight to Pearla and Loretta at Heavenly Gourmet! They are very accomodating and listen to all of your needs and requests. Perla and Julie were such a joy to work with. They offered up many suggestions to help our day run as smoothly as possible. We received rave reviews about the food from all of our guests! The food was just as good as it was at our tasting! The food was served hot and their was plenty for all of our guests.

Loretta and the Heavenly Gourmet staff were so awesome to work with and the food was DELICIOUS! We received so many compliments and would reccomend them to anyone who wants quality food on a budget! I loved how sweet and honest Loretta was. There was a small mix up with our wedding venue about who brings tables and table clothes for the bar and buffet tables, (which Heavenly Gourmet clearly states they are not responsible for providing) and they went ahead and brought them anyway just to help us out and not cause any stress trying to find these things last minute. Also, their wait staff was EXTREMELY helpful and friendly!!! Definitely reccomend them to anyone!

Perfect food and perfect service!

Perla & Loretta were awesome, the food was great, the staff were friendly, the chocolate fountain was awesome and they package all the food at the end of the night. There was a small mix up about where the champagne and stawberries were supposed to be before we boarded the river barge but not that big of a deal and I had open bar for 4.5 hours but several bottles ran out way before the bar closed and 40 of my guests didn't even show up and only 2/3rds were drinking even though I had to pay for everyone over 21 and there were only 10 children. I don't think they stocked the bar very well compared to the websites I looked at online for the time and amount of people they should not have run out of certain liquors I think the bar was understocked but they were still nice and we had a great time.

Perfect and delicious sums it up. Both their service and quality of food was excellent - Will not regret having them cater our food at our wedding. Their mashed potatoes and salads are my favorite!!!

Perla and her staff are wonderful.... and the food is DELICIOUS. You can't beat the price or the value either. If you haven't had a tasting with Heavenly Gourmet, I strongly recommend it.

Heavenly Gourmet catered our wedding, and the food was GREAT, at a great value. We had the food served to the tables, and there were enough wait staff so that all the tables were served in no time at all. Also, each person was served a good poriton of food on thier plate. We were able to meet with Loretta and her staff several times before the wedding to select the food and go over details. They answered phone calls and emails in a timely manner. They also provided our bartending service, which was one less thing for me to worry about. I would stronlgy reccomend Heavenly Gourment to any one lookking for affordable quality food for thier wedding.

The outside of Heavenly Gourmet's location might give you pause, but don't judge the book by its cover. Yes, it's located in a primarily abandoned strip mall on the east side of San Antonio, but the service you get certainly doesn't fit the locale. Perla, Lorraine, and Julie of Heavenly Gourmet are extremely helpful, and are willing to help you create a menu that fits both your budget and your taste. The price-per-plate is so incredibly affordable that I almost couldn't believe they were a full-service caterer (which is very important for most event venues). I had several guests on restricted diets (vegan, gluten-free, casein-free, diabetic-friendly), and Perla showed me all of the options for each unique meal, and all of the servers knew exactly who those meals were set aside for. Heavenly Gourmet is a great value for any event catering, and the food is DELICIOUS.

Loretta from Heavenly Gourmet is such a great lady! She is so fun to talk to and is very honest with you. We went with the heavenly stuffed chicken, feta basil mashed potatoes, green beans and a salad. The food was delicious and their staff was great! The only complaint I have is the green beans were a little undercooked. However, heavenly gourmet did a fantastic job and I would choose them again if I did it all over! You won't be disappointed!

Absolutely amazing food and service. Our guests are still talking about how great the food was. Loretta and her staff are awesome, from the first tasting to our wedding day, they have been nothing but helpful and professional. Loretta even made sure that my husband and I as well as our parents had time to sit down and eat, she is so sweet and caring. Best decision we made!!

Loretta and Perla of Heavenly Gourmet are AWESOME! They were very flexible in meeting with us for taste testings since we live about 1.5hrs from their location. They are VERY reasonable in cost and have OUTSTANDING FOOD! Numerous wedding guests told us that the food served at our wedding was the best food they had ever had at a wedding! I would use Heavenly Gourmet again if I have another event that needs to be catered.
