House on the Hill was the perfect venue for us. The indoor/outdoor wedding in August was suprisingly cool with all the shade the trees provided. Our pictures look like they belong in a magazine! One of the great things about this site, is that it was furher discounted for an August wedding with an additional night provided. All 20+ out of towner family members stayed there. It was not just a wedding but a family reunion. One of the more fun memories are those of my bonus son swimming in the pool after the wedding. My niece still talks about how she wishes she could live there.

House on the Hill was our reception site and it was everything we had hoped for and more. We had a small checklist: oak trees, an indoor structure, secluded, Texas Hill Country. HOH provided all that and a spectacular 360 view of Hill Country and Downtown Austin. The venue is secluded and splendidly verdant. Lush landscaping that wasn't over manicured fit our woodsy meets modern wedding theme. And the lodging! Holy crap! We had all sorts of rooms and cottages to stash drunk friends and out of town family. It was beautiful, beautiful and beautiful. Their website underwhelms the true beauty of the facility. Go there at an open house and check it out. Breathtaking for Austin-Eco Fabulous Weddings!rachael :)

Wow! This venue is absolutely fantastic for the Austin bride looking for a naturally beautiful setting. It's a tucked away oasis only a few minutes from downtown. We rented the venue for the week before the wedding and had our immediate family stay on the property with us. It was great to have a place where we could stay, relax (well, our family relaxed... I spent more time planning/arranging week-of details :-)), and make memories for more than a few hours! Pandora (owner) and Dolly are extremely friendly and welcoming. It takes a little more effort to coordinate the details since there isn't on-site assistance, but that's what made it perfect for us! We had the space for our guests to enjoy the entire wedding evening (well into morning) with privacy and no concern for what time it was. It's a great canvas for the creative bride to add her own special touches!

House on the Hill provided the perfect spot for my husband and I to get married. The natural beauty flowed perfectly with the relaxed enviromnment we wanted for our wedding.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE House on the Hill! We rented the whole place for 2 nights (day before and day of the wedding -- checking out by noon the day after) for a ridiculously cheap price. About a dozen of us stayed on the property for those 2 nights, which was so handy for our out of town guests and really cut down on their costs as well. There are spaces for indoor and outdoor entertaining both -- so it's nice that you can have a back-up spot if it rains (like it did at my wedding). The grounds were beautiful (everything blooms there in the Spring) and the guest rooms and cottages were wonderfully cozy. The gals that run the place, Dolly and Pandora, are both lovely and easy to work with, though sometimes not available by phone (but they always call back, just give them a while). It's a completely DIY venue, which I love. You can bring in your own catering and your own booze and your own decor, so it's a fantastic way to control your budget. They have table and chairs for up to 150 (you'll need your own linens though); however I wouldn't seat more than 115-120 in the main house -- it just gets way too crowded, as the floor plan is a bit awkward. But there is lots of room for seating outside as well, either in the covered pavilion, around the pool or on the back decks. You just have to be creative about using the space to its fullest potential, but it is a lovely and unique wedding/reception venue, and a true breath of fresh air.

I had my wedding here in April of 2009. This just made my night magical. We ended up getting this from Thursday night until Sunday at noon and it really felt like we were away from the world! It was MUCH more work than getting a venue that has everything included but it really did lend itself to making the day very personal.

This venue is perfect for a laid back wedding. We had the venue Friday through Sunday and were able to have our entire wedding weekend there, which made it less stressful and extremely enjoyable. Our whole wedding party stayed on the grounds as well, which made it a lot of fun and we had a lot of help. This venue really lets you do your own thing by just giving you the keys on Friday. Therefore you are able to cut costs by gettting your own caterering and so on. Everything is set up beautifully for a wedding. I could not have asked for a better place.

House on the Hill was the perfect venue. We rented it Thursday-Sunday and had both of our families stay there on site! It was such a great price and we were able to sleep 18 people there comfortably (and that was included in our price). It was beautiful and had everything we needed and was perfect for the ceremony and reception. There is a lovely fountain to get married in front of and you can turn it down or even off for during the ceremony as to not impact guests hearing the oh-so-important vows. There is plenty of room inside if weather is bad and the covered patio worked out great for dancing. I have absolutely no complaints about House on the Hill and it made my dream wedding come true!

They were a little slow on responding to us, and a little disorganized. There were a few surprises (rotating hot water, sometimes you had it, sometimes you didn't!), but overall the location was beautiful and I'm so happy I was married there!
