Joie de Vie Salon and Spa

I truly truly love Joie de Vie. They have a very reasonably priced "trial-do", so that they can play with your hair and see what you like before the big day.My hair looked fantastic. All evening people kept telling me that I looked like a Greek goddess (I have curly hair, and got a pretty simple up-do that played with curls and tendrils), and I really FELT like one. I did not have any trouble at all with my hair falling down.One of my bridesmaids had her hair done there as well, and her up-do was a true work of art.The place is fantastically relaxing, they will give you wine, beer, water, soda, coffee, whatever you need. Every one of the people there was a sweetheart, which was also very nice.

Joie de Vive was easy to work with on all levels. I was at first a bit concerned about the quality of the updos they would create on my bridesmaids and me. I have to say I am a bit guilty of prejuding the hairdressers' more alternative-styled hair-dos. I wanted a very classic look for my wedding and the hairdressers were able to achieve this look with ease and perfection. All was calm the day of the trial updo, and more importantly, the day of the wedding. I would recommend this salon to anyone looking to get their hair done.

I booked a day here to prepare for wedding pictures. Everything I booked turned out really well, but my hair did start to fall. However, I think that's more a function of the fact that I have a lot of very thick hair that doesn't take well to hairspray. It lasted plenty long enough for pictures. Everything else had great staying power. All in all, it was a fantastic service and a relaxing morning.

The team provided excellent quality service and the employees are all very nice, interesting and help alleviate your stress with their wit and friendliness. Everyone felt pampered and cared for, though we were running a bit behind due to an unexpected staffing shortage in the salon the day of our wedding booking, which had the team scrambling to get our large party completed timely. Some members of our party ran a little beyond the necessary time, but it still worked out for us all, since our venue was close to the shop. The responsiveness of the staff and their flexibility was very good. The value for the cost was also excellent and they really strive to cater to your needs, desires and to exceed. We had lunch catered in and it was just devine! Again, the team worked hard to help us develop a menu and we had lots of flexibility to create anything we wanted for our lunch menu. Overall, everyone left very happy with their hair styles and our afternoon of pampering. I would highly recommend this vendor to others.

I had both my hair and make-up done at Joie De Vie. They gave us glasses of wine while were getting everything done and were constantly refilling our glasses! My hair looked amazing, the only problem was that by the end of the night it was falling down. I would have not paid as much as I had if I had known that it would need fixing several times throughout the night. When my make-up was being done, she took me downstairs to the spa area so I was able to relax a little bit. She used all mineral make-up and it lasted all night! I looked very glamorous but did not feel like I had a ton of make-up on. Overall I was pretty pleased with my experience.
