Kayla Knight Cakes

Kayla was absolutely great! Getting married out of town was stressful, but she helped ease any cake planning. She made communicating/planning super easy as she was extremely responsive and super flexible with meeting times. The cake came out LOVELY and it tasted great! She also made us a groom's cake that was also beautiful and YUMMY! I looked forward to eating the little bride/groom strawberries that were super fresh too. =D

Kayla was absolutely amazing! First of all, she offered the best price. I shopped around for a long time and she had by far the best prices. Second, the quality was superb! You would've thought I spent a fortune on my cake by the way it looked AND tasted. Third, there's nothing she can't do. She doesn't charge for the complexity of the art work like everyone else does. She has a set price based on servings and flavor of cake. My fiancé and I showed her a picture of a cake that we wanted and ours turned out exactly like it, if not better! All in all there is not a single bad thing I could say about my experience with Kayla Knight. I would recommend her in a heartbeat to everyone.

Kayla make a bride's cake and groom's cake for our daughter's wedding Feb. 11, 2012. We had 260+ guests and she advised us on the size we should order, which turned out to be the correct amount. We had just enough left over to enjoy for a few days afterward. The cakes were delicious and moist and elegantly designed. Kayla was responsive at all times to any questions we had. I will use Kayla again for my cake needs.

Kayla Knight Cakes did a wonderful job on my wedding cake & my groom's cake. They were delicious! I changed my mind on the entire grooms cake and Kayla transformed the vision I had in my mind on to the cake effortlessly. Our guests were very impressed with cakes as we were.

Kayla did an absolutely amazing job on our wedding cake. The cake design was one of the key inspiration pieces for our reception - a simple vintage oval cake with elegant piping. Kayla did this cake exquisitely. When we went for our tasting, we were thinking of something plain like french vanilla or something, but Kayla included a little sample of her banana cake as well - which blew us away. I don't think I would've ever sought out a banana cake - but it was perfect - moist, delicate, just enough spice cake flavor. We did the top and bottom tier both banana, and the middle tier a vanilla (which was very creamy) with a peach filling. Our wedding "theme" was tradition - with a focus on our family history and traditions. Even the flavors of the cake ended up working with this, as my grandmother is well known for her banana and peach desserts. It was really neat that this unfolded in such a special way. Kayla was so sweet, understood what we envisioned and perfectly executed the most beautiful cake.

Perfect! Beautiful! Yummy! I found Kayla on weddingwire and after talking to her she seemed very sweet to work with and someone who cared about me as a bride. I was right. She was so pleasant to work with and gave me good advice while choosing my cakes. I originally wanted a cake outside, but she advised me against that and I'm glad I did. It was so hot that day I would have worried the whole time. The cake was still beautiful inside! My brides cake looked stunning. I picked it out of her album. And the taste was even better. I have never had a cake taste that good. My groom chose a UT grooms cake that was shaped like bevo and it was so fun. Everyone loved it! And, of couse, the taste was a hit!! She said we could call her anytime if we ever need a birthday or other celebration cake and I plan to take her up on that!!!

We loved working with Kayla to design both our wedding cake and grooms cake. After conducting online research and meeting a few wedding cake vendors at local bridal shows, I was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of options. However, my brother recommended that I contact Kayla and after reviewing her prices and flavor options, she seemed like the best option for our small budget. Things only got better after I set up our consultation. We discussed flavors over the phone, made some quick decisions and set up a time to meet. I was completely surprised that the tasting, cake design and flavor selection for both cakes was completed in 20 minutes. I really expected the decision making process to be much more complicated and confusing. However, as soon as I tried the cake sample, I knew that it was the perfect flavor. Moist, fluffy and delicious. Plus, I was already had a clear design in mind for both cakes and so it was just a matter of showing her a picture of what I wanted and everything was set. After our consultation, Kayla clearly laid out the contract and checked-in with me once or twice before the wedding. On the day of the wedding she delivered the cakes on time with no problem. Kayla made my wedding cake and my groom's cake. My groom's cake was perfection! however, my bridal cake was all wrong. Kayla offered to find the crystals that were supposed to hang from tier to tier. However, she did not find them or tell me I needed to get them until the month of my wedding. I got married in Austin but live about 5 hours from Austin so i had to pay triple for the crystals to get them to Kayla in time. The day of the wedding I see my cake and the crystals looked TERRIBLE. it was NOTHING like the picture Kayla had or what i wanted. I was so disappointed and really felt like Kayla should have told me the cake was not going to look anything like my vision. I also felt like Kayla should not have promised me that she could create what i wanted if she was unsure. It was very upsetting and embarrassing because everything else in my wedding and reception was perfect. The cake looked like a last minute thrown together cake.

Kayla made both my brides cake and grooms cake! Both were fantastic! I really wanted something elegant. I had a consultation with her and we chose something from her books. The brides cake was perfect. It was so pretty and fit the decor of my wedding to a T. My fiance wanted a fun grooms cake, so we chose a design that incorporated his fraternity on it. It looked great and all his frat brothers loved it! And the cakes were so delicious! We were planning on saving our top tier, but people kept coming back for seconds and thirds so we decided to serve it and order a fresh one for our anniversary. Kayla was so easy to work with, very quick with responses and answered all my questions. Her cakes did not dissapoint. The taste and decorations of the cakes were perfect. She gave me just what I wanted! I could not have been any more pleased! Go will Kayla and you will walk away a very happy bride!

Kayla did our wedding cake for your 4th of July Wedding! Everything was beyond perfect! I found a picture from a magazine and just fell in love with it. The cake that she created from that picture was beyond amazing! It was even more beautiful then I ever imagined! The flavor was just as good as the look of the cake. French Vanilla with Strawberry Cream Cheese...mmmm! It was so moist and delicious. We didn't have any left over because people kept coming back for seconds and thirds. Oh, and my husband is in the military so she gave us a military discount! Kayla offers perfection and at a great price too! I can't wait until we have another event where we need a cake...because Kayla is the only person I will ever order a cake from again!

Kayla was a life saver for me when I was planning my wedding in only two weeks!!! I emailed her about maybe doing my cake and she was very quick to respond with all her cake information and website. I emailed her back what cake we wanted and got it!!! It was all very easy and stress free which is perfect for any bride to be :) The day of the wedding Kayla came and set up the cake for us, and it was so moist and delicious! I got many many complements on how awesome her fruit fillings were. Thanks again Kayla for all of your wonderfulness!!!!!!!!!

Kayla did a fantastic job with my cake! I was so pleased with how it turned out and especially with how it tasted. It was the best wedding cake I had ever eaten and I am not just being biased. She was also a great communicator. My wedding was in Austin, but I live in Dallas and it was never a problem. She walked me through every step and made the process really easy for an out-of-town bride. For a great tasting and looking cake at an awesome price don't go anywhere else.

I ordered both the Wedding and Grooms cakes from Kayla. They were both delicious and beautiful. The grooms cake got repeated questions about what was the amazing flavor in the filling - go with the Kaluha it is YUMMY! Kalya's prices are EXTREMELY reasonable and you could not ask for a better cake!

I picked Kayla after reading so many great reviews of her on Wedding Wire. Those reviews turned out not to be true. I had a fabulous wedding, and almost everything was perfect. Everything except the cake. My husband knows when we talk about the wedding, we don't talk about the cake. I had a great experience with Kayla before the wedding. We met at her house, and talked via email and on the telephone several times. I showed her several pictures of what I wanted for my grooms cake and wedding cake, and she assured me that my very simple designs were no problem. The day of the wedding, I was astounded. The cakes she brought were NOT what we talked about. Both cakes were completely wrong. My mom pulled her aside, and had Kayla rearrange some flowers on the wedding cake in the hope of saving the design. It was embarrassing to have cheap looking cakes at my wedding, when I had spent so long creating the design and working with Kayla on my vision. The cakes that came to my wedding did not match the quality of cakes in pictures she showed us of her previous work. Needless to say, my wedding album will not have the traditional cake cutting pictures.

Kayla was excellent all around and made us the perfect wedding cake... simple, elegant, and beautiful! It's just what we wanted and our wedding was the best!! Thank you Kayla!!

Kayla Knight's cakes are amazing! I had a vision in my head of what I wanted and she did exactly what I wanted and more. Not only was the cake amazing on the outside, the taste was amazing on the inside!!! I highly recommend Kayla Knight Cakes. The quality is good along with the price. The cake was SOOOOO DELICIOUS! Guest went back for seconds!!!! That is exactly the most important reason I chose you. You have great recipes. I got the red velve and chocolate!!!!!! DELICOUS!!!!! The cake was what I noticed people referenceing too the most, long after the wedding day!!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!

Kayla did a fantastic job on my wedding cake - I couldn't have been more pleased. I wanted a cake with sakura (cherry blossoms) on it and finally found one online that I liked (most of the ones online I did not like). I took the picture to Kayla and she turned it into something even more gorgeous than the picture I took her! Not to mention, the vanilla cake with white icing was really tasty. She also did our groom's cake which was also popular (yellow cake with chocolate icing). Also, the fact that she brought the cake to the venue was really nice -- I was not going to risk driving a three-tiered cake around in a car! The cake was the last big item on our list to get booked and Kayla took us on with only a few short weeks before the event, which makes her even more awesome! I highly recommend Kayla - her prices are right, the cake it delicious, and her artistry is beautiful!
