KEEP AUSTIN GORGEOUS

Keep Austin Gorgeous did my hair and makeup for my fairytale wedding! They also did the hair and makeup for 10 of my attendants. They were absolutely AMAZING!!! They came to my hotel on the day of the wedding and spent the entire morning and afternoon with us making us all gorgeous! Not only are all 3 girls that came talented but very personal and nice! My stylist, Delaney, is exceptionally amazing! She even called me a few times so we could discuss the look for my wedding day! I have nothing but good things to say about all 3 girls and the receptionist Aubrey was such a joy to work with during the beginning planning process! I highly recommend any bride to them especially if they want to be pampered and glamorous treatment!

The entire staff at Keep Austin Gorgeous was awesome! They were all very friendly and helped keep me at ease. And the salon is great for getting ready pictures.

Wedding was October 7th. I was the stepmom of the bride. Bride was not asked how she wanted her makeup - not pleased. My hair was OK, but nothing to rave about and definitely not worth the money! the other bridesmaids were not really pleased with their hair either, but they didn't want to say so = didn't want to upset the bride. Updos were plastic and not really pretty. Definitely would not recommend this place, way over priced and not worth it.

I used Keep Austin Gorgeous for my wedding hair and make-up. My bridemaids, mother, flower girl and mother-in-law also had their hair and make-up done by Keep Austin Gorgeous.Kelly did my hair and make-up and it turned out just as I had hoped. I would 100% recommend a trial run as part of your wedding day package. I took in a few photos on the day of my trial run and it didn't turn out quite as I hoped. I told Kelly what I wanted to tweak, she took notes down (literally took notes) and it turned out exactly how I wanted on the wedding day. The airbrush was a little much on our trial run, but again, I told Kelly and we made adjustments on the day of and it looked great. That was the one great thing about KAG - they really listened to the adjustments you wanted to make and didn't take offense but rather made it the way you wanted. They are also reasonably priced in comparison with other hair and make-up stylists. I wanted my bridesmaids to have a reasonable option if they wanted to get their hair and make-up done. They also do tattoo cover-up. My sister has a few big and colorful tattoos on her calfs. KAG was able to cover them up and have it still look natural for the wedding day. Another perk about KAG is that you basically have your own kitchen for your bridal party and can bring in your own lunch and even champagne!I'm so glad I chose KAG. Everyone's hair and make-up looked great!

Kelli @ KAG was my stylist for the wedding, but we had plenty of their staff working on us. Kelli did an amazing job on my hair and makeup for my 9/17/11 wedding. The entire staff did a great job on the moms and the bridesmaids. Airbrush make up is definitely the way to go, it looked flawless all night! Its a super cute place to hang out on your wedding day. They're all really talented! Thanks again ladies for making us look our best!

Prior to my wedding day I was very excited about choosing Keep Austin Gorgeous (KAG) as my hair/makeup vendor. As an out of state bride, I heavily relied on the web & vendor reviews when deciding who to use as my wedding vendors. Hence my reasoning for actually following up my experience with a review of each and every one of my vendors. The first reason I was excited about using KAG was I loved the look of the salon (from the many pics online and in reviews) and it also would accommodate my large wedding party. After much research, I quickly realized a lot of Austin salons did not accommodate large wedding parties so this factor played a large role in deciding to use KAG. During the booking process KAG has the bride complete a contract with each of the services being rendered as well as detailed information/instructions for each person in your appointment. A 50% contract deposit is also charged to hold the appointment. All fine as I appreciated the thoroughness of the contract and felt confident there would be no confusion going into the actual appointment. Boy was I wrong. First off, it is important to note the salon is extremely difficult to find (especially if you are not familiar with the area to begin with.) Even utilizing a GPS as we did, the address leads you into what appears to be an apartment complex and KAG has virtually no signage, period. Driving in circles for close to 20 minutes (on hold with KAG for the entire time) we finally were able to get someone on the phone to tell us EXACTLY where they were located. What a great way to start off the morning, right?! When we all arrived (13 of us all following each other in cars) we were not greeted WHATSOEVER, we were actually told we were 15 minutes late for the appointments and asked to go sit into a room until our names were called. When I addressed the front desk staff and told her I was the bride and I was actually the one on the phone with her and I was the one who was on hold for over 20 minutes, she quickly snapped back, "...well if you go to our website you will see that we are having issues with our phones and that's why you were on hold." My response, "Go to a website?! It's my wedding day and I was driving to come here for my hair and makeup appointment! We were driving around in circles looking for a salon in the BACK of a complex that doesn't have a SINGLE sign directing you to where it's located?!" Moving on, I took a deep breath and went to sit in the back room until my name was called. They took 3 of us to the makeup area to begin our makeup...I wish I could remember the woman who did my makeup, but it was sub par work. I told her I wanted a look that would last all day (as I was getting married outside in this August TX heat) and to go heavier than not as I did not want a "natural look". Let's just say I had to direct her more than not the entire appointment, even pulling my makeup bag out a few times so she could use the product/colors I preferred. I honestly should've saved the $65 and did it myself. Moving on to the hair appointments, one of my girls got hers re-done 3 times, for one of my girls they kept trying to sell her on getting a hair accessory after we all agreed it looked unnecessary, and I could go on about each of the other 10 appointments, but you get the idea...MY ONLY REASONING FOR GIVING THIS SALON 2 STARS IS BECAUSE OF CHANCY. She was honestly my most favorite part of my hair/makeup experience. She went over and beyond exactly what I asked her to do and I LOVED my wedding day hair. She was so nice and could tell I was stressed with the whole KAG experience and assured me she would take care of me. While I was getting my hair styled the receptionist had the nerve to charge my mother-in-law for the remaining balance of her hair!! I WAS MORTIFIED!!! I clearly marked on the contract they INSISTED I complete, prior to booking the appointment, that I was going to pay for my entire wedding parties hair and makeup appointments. I actually wrote on each and every appointment line, "BRIDE WILL PAY". After demanding my mother-in-law be reimbursed I was approached by the owner of the salon, Brizy. I had seen her around the salon all day and knew from the site she was the owner and it wasn't until we were already there for HOURS and there was this issue, that she actually approached me at all. As a business owner, you'd think it would be common sense to thank or approach the person who is bringing close to two thousand dollars to your small business. Guess not?! She wanted to just argue with me about it and said, "How are we supposed to know you were paying for all of the girls appointments? We have a lot of brides who just pay for 1/2 of the cost of the services..." ARE YOU KIDDING?! First of all, I asked to see the contract they insisted I complete when booking the appointment, but of course it was no where to be found. If they actually referenced it, they would see it was noted NUMEROUS times. All in all, I was NOT HAPPY with my experience at KAG and it was as far away from a stress-free experience as it could be. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM FOR YOUR BRIDAL PARTY SALON, unless you went solely to see CHANCY!! I hope this review is helpful to other out of state brides as I wish I would've been warned before choosing them as one of my wedding vendors. Also, yep you guessed it; we were not thanked or told bye or ANYTHING when exiting the salon. Happy Wedding Day to me!

I looove keep austin beautiful the girls there were amazing! My bridesmaids and I had our hair and makeup done here and we couldn't have been more pleased! They were very worth our money my wedding was in early march 2011, I booked them a week and half before our wedding date they were very very flexible with me I was very pleased. All of my girls and I did airbrush makeup let me tell you I am a cryer my makeup did not smear or tub off! I looked good from as soon as I walked out that door till the very late night ;) my hair was the same thing I had curls and my hair is very thick and I have a lot of it usually my hair never curls and if it does they come right off well I don't know how they did it but my curls stayed all night long no need for touch ups :) the staff was amazing thanks!

They were so welcoming and I love their little lounging areas. Me and my bridesmaids had our hair and makeup done. All the stylist and makeup artist were fab. Great expereince!

The salon is very cute and the receptionist is awesome and does a great job of keeping you informed. That part is great, since Brizy is really not good at replying to emails. I think they are competively priced for bridal packages. Brizy did a great job with my hair...my hair doesn't hold curl well but my hair still looked great the day after the wedding! The airbrush makeup was wonderful. My skin is very oily and she made it to where my makeup stayed on the entire time! Our moms and my bridesmaids got their hair and makeup done their also and everyone looked very good. Just be prepared to be bombarded by sales pitches while you are there. They aren't shy about trying to sell you their line of hair care (I did buy the Antigravity product and it worked very well) or eyelash extensions. I also had my eyebrows waxed by Alonda (I think) and she was so sweet and did a wonderful job!

I'm an out of town bride. They did a beautiful job even without a trial run. The air brushed make up looks and feels very natural. I especially loved my hair! They were very nice and timely. Please double check the address and directions.....it's very easy to get lost. We were 20 minutes late, but everything turned out great. Thanks so much for helping me feel beautiful on my day!

Brizy and her team at KAG are absolutely adorable and will make you truly gorgeous. My bridesmaids and I showed up slightly late for our appointment but Brizy and the other ladies there made sure we made it out on time without skimping on our hair or makeup. They have a great email appointment reminder system that is sooo helpful and they were very flexible with my trial run appointment since I was an out-of-town bride trying to fit it in a few days before the wedding. If you haven't had airbrush makeup before (or even if you have), this is definitely the place to go to have it done and will make you wish you could have it every day of your life! Thanks again Brizy and KAG for making me and my girls look fantastic!

Loved the great job they did on our hair & makeup! I had to add a bridal hair on the day-of and they were great in making sure everyone got their hair/makeup done in time. Their studio is really cute for getting ready photos and they let you bring in snacks while you get ready so no one goes hungry. I loved my hair & makeup, it turned out better than I imagined. Everyone looked beautiful thanks to KAG!

My bridesmaid's and I had a fabulous time getting our hair and make up done with Brizzy, Kelly & their team. Everyone of us absolutely loved our hair and make up. The girls were friendly and professional and knew just what would look good on each and every one of us. Our hair and make up lasted all through the night and even into the next day and got us a lot of compliments. If you're looking for flawless make up and an exceptional hair do, this is the place for you.

KAG did the hair and airbrush make up for my 6 bridesmaids, my mom, and myself. They did a phenomenal job! Everyone was more than thrilled with the work that Brizy, Alonda, Ashleigh, Megan, and another beautiful brunette female (sorry I never got your name!!) did! Brizy did my eyelash extensions for my bridal portraits and before my wedding. They were gorgeous! Ashleigh did a wonderful job doing my prep appointment, where she styled my hair to look like a Victoria's Secret model, and my wedding day hair! Alonda is amazing at make up...and this comes from a girl who never wears make up; I love it because it felt so natural! I would not hesitate to book with them again! LOVE them!

Brizy and the girls at KAG did an amazing job for my wedding. Everyone looked so beautiful and the make-up lasted throughout the entire night. I would definitely recommend their services. I do not normally let anyone do my make-up but I am so pleased with how everything turned out. And the hair style was perfect! The salon is beautiful and it was a great value.

Brizy at Keep Austin Gorgeous did my makeup for the wedding and my mother's hair and makeup. It was amazing! She does a silicone based airbrush makeup which stays on all night. I was dancing and sweating and my makeup was still perfect in all the pictures even at 2 am!I booked her on short notice (about a month out) and she squeezed me and my mother in even though she was doing 4 weddings that Saturday! Highly recommended.
