Krissy's Cakes

I wanted a wedding cake full of glitter.. and that's what I got! The cake was beautiful and tasted amazing. Luckily, I didn't have to wear any of it during the cake cutting. Krissy was very sweet and easy going. We loved working with her for our big day. Everything was there and ready when we arrived at our venue.

Krissy's Cakes beat out 2 other bakeries for our wedding cake, and we couldn't have been happier with our decision to go with her!At our consultation, I really didn't know what I wanted, design-wise, but Krissy sat with us and listened to what we liked, didn't like, and drew up a design for us. She made suggestions when we weren't sure of something. She was the only baker we went to who did that, and it was HUGE in making our decision. The time she spent with us made us feel like she truly cared about what we wanted, and that it went along with the style of our wedding. The cake itself was DELICIOUS! We have received many compliments about how great it was! The buttercream was very light, not heavy at all, which was perfect for a post-BBQ dessert. Krissy and her staff were very responsive to any questions/concerns I had, even 2 weeks before the wedding when we had to lower our count (and subsequently lower the # of tiers). I would recommend her to anyone looking for a specialty cake.

At our wedding we wanted a bit of variety in flavors and also wanted to give our guests some bite-sized options. After we met with Krissy and tasted her delicious (and not-too-sweet) cakes, we knew we had to have one of her creations. We were working within a budget and did not want to spend all of it on the cake, so Krissy helped us in designing a modest cake and then we offered four other flavors with petit fours. Our guests could not quit talking about how delicious the cake and petit fours were!!

Krissy's cakes was the best cake served at the Bridal Extravaganza here in Austin. I couldn't wait to make it in to try the different flavors and pick my design. Krissy was one of the sweetest and most artistic people ever! Our groom cake was awesome with longhorns on the sides and a 3D soccer ball on top. Then there was the bridal cake! It was beautiful. Just as I always dreamed. And the flavor was dreamy!!!! I can't wait to order another cake from her.

The cake was amazing!! Strawberry Champagne with Vanilla Buttercream!!! Everyone loved it!! Krissy's is fabulous!

We had Krissy's cake provide both our wedding and groom's cake. Both cakes came out beautiful and tasted delicious. Definitely the best tasting cake around.A couple of areas for improvement would be getting back to me in a timely manner. I am a busy professional, and it's not always great having to track someone down. I also asked for a couple of additions to the grooms cake that were not there on the day of the wedding. Not something to blow out about, but definitely noticed that the sign for Mr. and Mrs. was not on the cake.Overall, great tasting cake that you might have to chase after.

The bride's cake was Strawberry Champagne and SO yummy! The design was simple, yet left an impression, just how I described it to Kissy. The groom cake was a bulldog (carved and detailed to perfection!) with the Mississippi State logo - my husband was OVER THE MOON about his! We loved both of our cakes and all the guests went on and on about the designs! It's the first wedding I've been to that there wasn't any left over cake, every last piece was GONE! That's got to say something! Krissy was wondeful to work with, she really made the groom feel apart of our tasting and it shows that she loves what she does!

Loved the cake...really worked with us to figure out what we wanted for our special day. The cake also tasted amazing. Will definitely come back to purchase cakes for special occasions.

Krissy's cake was so great! We changed the design about a month before the wedding and she had no problem with the updates. I sent her a picture of the flowers from my dress and she made the cake complement the dress! We had the strawberry champagne cake for one tier and a white cake with chocolate mousse filling for the other tiers. Both were a huge hit! We had some leftover (on purpose) and it was fun to get to enjoy it again the next day. We didn't save the top layer but will order another cake for the anniversary. Thanks Krissy!

Krissy's Cakes were amazing!My cake was a four tier Tres Leche cake, the top tier was a carrot cake anniversary tier. I had alternating round & hex tiers. It was iced in Krissy's buttercream icing and had dual ribbon placed at the bottom of each tier. The second tier down (hex) had our monogram piped on it. My florist placed a small bowl of flowers on the very top.The groom's cake was a "novelty cake." We gave Krissy a real cigar box of my husbands favorite cigars. She took a carrot cake and iced it with her cream cheese icing and then covered it in fondant. Then she airbrushed it and made fondant cigars to go with it.The cakes were amazing and a total hit! Krissy's Cakes has amazing flavors and great designs. She has a new cute shop in Leander too!

Krissy's Cakes provided us with a delicious and beautiful cake for our wedding day. We chose the "Sunshine Cake" (orange poppy seed with raspberry filling), and it was everything that we wanted--light, delicious, and not overly sweet. In looking for a vendor, I researched and tasted cakes from multiple vendors in the Austin-area and Krissy's Cakes was by far the best quality for the price. She was also very friendly, easy to work with, and happy to incorporate my ideas into a design. My only small negative comment is that the accent color on the cake was not the shade of blue that I had asked for...a small problem as the cake still tasted amazing and looked great!

Krissy did a very good job with our cakes! The best part about her cakes was that they were so delicious! We tried three different cake decorators and hers tasted the best! She was also very creative. We weren't sure of what we wanted for the groom's cake. She did a sketch at the initial meeting based on what my husband told her his interests were. She was the first decorator to do this. We chose her because of her creativity and her delicious cakes! She delivered two beautiful cakes to our wedding on time.

Our cakes were delicious and wildly popular. For the groom's cake, I ordered a replica of the Beatles' Abbey Road album cover, and Krissy created 3D versions of the Beatles. I cannot tell you how many compliments we received on that cake and how much fun the groomsmen had devouring the Beatles' heads ;) The service was also fantastic. I would say that there were a few times I emailed Krissy in the weeks leading up to the wedding and did not recieve a response and had to call. There were no problems once I did make contact though - just needed a little persistence. Overall we were very pleased with our decision to hire Krissy's.

Very creative flavor combinations (dulce de leche, caramel vanilla and cinnamon- yum! or sunshine cake, orange poppyseed cake with raspberry jam filling and lemon cream cheese frosting-- also yum!)Very friendly, prompt, willing to go above and beyond, and forgiving (I had bride brain and forgot to mail her payment!)Everyone raved about the cake and I gained a few pounds because I ate at least 6 slices during the reception.

I absolutely LOVED our wedding cakes! They were so unique and beautiful and delicious! All night everyone kept telling both of us how great our cakes looked! Krissy was very friendly and helpful and I definitely recommend her to anyone in the Austin area!
