Last Petal

Melanie Tipton is extremely talented and took my "Anthropologie, not too vintage, not too overdone, but not too sparse" idea and created the most beautiful centerpieces. I showed her one picture of a bouquet and she took it and ran with it. I met with her several times and she always was very considerate of my budget and my vision. I felt like she really listened to me and didn’t try to fit me in a box (like other florists did).

We used The Last Petal Floral Studio for our December 2011 wedding. After consulting with another florist who we ultimately decided not to use, working with Melanie was a breath of fresh air. She knew exactly the vision we wanted and her work was GORGEOUS. So, so gorgeous. I asked for vintage, romantic and rustic, and supplied her with milk glass vases and antique brown bottles, and I can only describe what she did with them as little waterfalls of beauty! On top of that, she helped me to tweak things so that all of it fit into our budget. I'm so grateful that The Last Petal did such a wonderful job with our floral...

Melanie did my wedding and everything that she touched was AMAZING!! The bouquets were BIG and beautiful. The Chuppah was gorgeous. The tablescapes, both tall and short were so perfect. Everything she did was exactly as we had wanted. She realized our vision and fulfilled it completely. She was a pleasure to work with, very understanding, and also very respectful of the $$'s we planned to spend. She is a true gem!! Thank you Melanie for helping to make my wedding perfect.

Melanie at last petal is soooo sweet and she delivered everything I asked for and more. The flowers were beautiful and all the decorations were amazing! I wish I had had more time to soak it all in because it was just perfect! The prices were very reasonable too! Would definitely recommend them!!

Melanie was fantastic to work with, I would pick her every time if I were to do this whole thing over again! One of my favorite parts of my wedding day was looking at my bouquet for the first time - she did such an amazing job at executing what I wanted, it could not have been more perfect. She worked with my budget so well, and everything was beautiful, even better than I had imagined. Seriously, I wish I could post a picture of my bouquet here to brag. OMG it was so breathtaking! The centerpieces, corsages and boutonnieres were all beautiful. They also hung some candles in our venue and did a great job with that as well. I only have two small complaints: we had issues getting the containers for our centerpieces to her, I wish we had planned it out earlier. The day before the wedding is a little crazy, it's hard to fit things in last minute (or be flexible on my end). But she made sure it worked out, so it wasn't a real issue. I also really appreciated that she suggested hydrangeas as a cost effective option for the bridesmaid's bouquets, I just really wish I knew they would wilt so fast so we could have put them back in water sooner; they made it through the ceremony but started looking bad during pictures. In the end though, I still love that we went with Last Petal, I wouldn't have gone elsewhere.

Melanie did my wedding on 9/17/11 and it was amazing! She really got my vision for the wedding and was always open to my thoughts and questions. My bridal bouquet was divine and exceed my expectations. Every detail was carefully done. Thanks to her team, my wedding was beautiful and everything I dreamed of. She was so respectful of my budget and pulled off the look flawlessly!

Last Petal serves the Austin area and did a beautiful job on our wedding flowers. We had a tight budget and she came up with creative, interesting designs with an artistic eye, more than we expected. She was well organized and provided a great bid document for us to make our selections. She showed up when promised & everything was picture perfect, elegant and fun. A friend just used Last Petal & also had a great experience with an entirely different look.

Last Petal did a brilliant job! Melanie was so helpful and accommodating! She was able to design a concept that was true to my vision and creative while still respecting our budget! I don't know much about flowers but knew I wanted to use hydrangeas as my main flower, she was able to incorporate other flowers into the scheme to achieve beautiful arrangements with interesting textures! I would highly recommend Last Petal!

I am incredibly impressed by Melanie and her team at Last Petal. Everything was done exactly how we hoped it would be, and of course - beautiful. Plus, Melanie went above and beyond the call of duty to find a way to get it all done. None of the other vendors we interviewed would agree to do everything we asked for. But Melanie and her team were willing to take on the challenge and found creative ways to get it all done within a reasonable cost.

Melanie with The Last Petal was phenomenal!! She took my very small budget and translated my vision into a breathtaking sight on my wedding day. Melanie is patient and kind and listened to all of my ideas and visions. She went above and beyond the call of duty when she and her team helped to set up lounge furniture at my reception site due to the vendor not delivering the furniture on time. She created beautiful, three-dimensional table numbers for the tables that all the guests raved about. Melanie is truly one of the best vendors I worked with on my wedding day. You cannot go wrong hiring Melanie to be your wedding florist!

I initially liked this vendor. However, we had some big problems on the day of my wedding. My wedding started at noon. At 10:30 we could not find where the flowers were. We tried calling this vendor many times and could not reach anyone to talk to us. My groomsmen had to take photos with no boutonnieres. The flowers made it there, but with no time to be spared.

Using Last Petal for my flowers was probably one of the best decisions I made in my wedding planning. I went with them because I knew they had worked with my venue before so I that saved me a step of getting them into the venue to review the site. All I had to do was tell them the flower I wanted and they brought wonderful ideas to the table to bring those flowers out even more all over the venue. I will definitely be referring my fellow friends of Austin!

Melanie was super helpful and created absolutely beautiful bouquets and arrangements for me! I loved the variety of textures and flowers that she incorporated., and I received many compliments on the flowers. Don't expect cookie-cutter results, but if you are willing to give your florist some creative license and flexibility, Melanie will create stunning and unique floral arrangements for you. She was also super-flexible in making changes to the quote, adding and deleting items as much as I needed.

Melanie was a breeze of fresh air! After looking at many other florists, I found Melanie's website and fell in love with her work. She has a unique approach to flowers and I loved the fact that she has a degree in horticulture. Melanie also accomodated my request for a hard to find flower (Crown of Thorns flower) for my bridal bouquet. She called me before my bridal portraits and told me that she couldn't find any for my portrait bouquet, but that she would have them for my wedding day. She had her buyer looking all over the country for my one little flower! It was amazing how much care and concern she put into listening to her clients and achieving their desired vision. Our flowers were gorgeous and her delivery was prompt and attentive. Melanie was also very responsive to my emails and phone calls. She was super easy to talk to in person and very accomodating in my many changes to our final invoice. I highly recommend her - for her design, the quality of her arrangements and her outstanding service. You won't regret it!

We were pleased with Melanie from the moment we met her. She takes time to understand the bride's vision and executes it beautifully! She is creative, offers suggestions, and is mindful of your budget. The flowers were incredibly fresh and she allowed us to use the arrangements for the entire weekend, and return her vases a few days after the wedding! The flowers looked as good on Sunday as they did on the day of the wedding. In fact, we couldn't bear to throw them away and found every vase we could so that we could enjoy them for several days! I highly recommend Melanie and Last Petal to make the vision you have for your flowers become reality.

Melanie was fantastic! She met me in Houston before I even hired her to discuss our wedding plans. I changed my mind about a million times and she kept up along the way and provided the most beautiful flowers I had ever seen. I didn't cry when I put my dress or my veil on. But as soon as I saw my bouquet, I really felt like a bride and the happy tears came. The flowers arrived right on time and were packaged perfectly so nothing was smushed. We opted for gardenias which are very delicate flowers that brown easily and the Last Petal provided huge ones that were pristine. She was able to work easily within our budget and provided options when we are not sure what we wanted.

Melanie was amazing. When we first met with her, I felt like she really “got” my vision. Then we got her quote, and it was like reading a novel. The way she described things, you could almost smell the flowers already. Then, when we walked into the church and saw the bouquets waiting, everyone gasped. They were amazing. The flowers at the church and the reception were equally beautiful. My only disappointment is that flowers don’t last. They were so beautiful and my mom and I were over the moon pleased . Be warned, sometimes she may not email you back or call you back for a few days, but her work is so fantastic. I think it’s because she puts her whole self into whatever project she is on, so she if doesn’t get back to you immediately, it’s because she is working on someone else’s vision, and she will give her undivided attention to you as well. Truly breathtaking work!

I just told Melanie my colors, and she did the rest. It was gorgeous. She even bought me more candles on her way to the wedding because they moved my reception inside, and I wanted more for light. She responds to calls super fast too.
