This review is LONG overdue! Richard is absolutely amazing!! My husband and I were on the edge about whether or not to use a videographer... but I am SO glad we did! Richard created a trailer and long movie for us... along with an extra little 50 second teaser video (which he uploaded the night of the wedding!). During the wedding, we barely even noticed that Richard was there...but our video(s) show every single moment and detail of the wedding. I wholeheartedly recommend Lizama Videography...You won't be disappointed with his work! You can see our wedding video here: http://www.rlweddingvideo.com/wedding-day-highlights/abbie-jason-highlights/

At the moment, we've only seen the sneak peak trailer from our wedding, and don't expect to see the full video & trailer until later. We'll be sure to update this review afterwards! We are so glad to have stumbled onto Richard's website! At the time, we had gone through every videographer listed on the Austin Wedding Blog, and had nearly given up on having professional videography at all for the wedding. It seemed like every videographer that was charging <$1800 for a full day of video were firmly entrenched in the style of traditional wedding videography - lots of slow motion, much of it unnecessary, and 90% of them are set to "At Last." We briefly considered rearranging our budget to accomodate a more expensive videographer, but it didn't seem worth it. Many of the trailers that we saw were on the other extreme of being too trendy & modern - making them look more like fashion videos than the wedding of two actual people. Richard's style is definitely more up our alley. He told us that he's inspired by HBO documentaries, and it shows in his work. It's artistic without being too fussy, and it's sentimental without being syrupy. He catches lots of "people" moments, and those were the moments that we wanted to remember. While there are a few less expensive videography options out there, I don't feel like hiring Richard was a "splurge," given the obvious care he puts into his work. We met with him once before hiring him, and communicated over email and phone up until the day of the wedding. In all our interactions, he's always been laidback, but his enthusiasm for his work definitely shows. On the day of the wedding, he surprised us by bringing a second cameraman - bonus! They both did a good job of keeping out of view. We really only noticed the camera when we turned around to walk back down the aisle, and a couple of times on the dance floor. Just from the quick snippets in our sneak peak trailer though, it looks like he caught a whole lot more than we even realized! And both he & our photographer were very professional about maneuvering around each other throughout the day. We're excited to see the final product, and we'll update again when we do, but there's no doubt that it will be fantastic!

I just recently got married, October 15th at The Plantation House, and I have to say that Richard and Paul exceeded my expectations on EVERY level! Trust me when I say that your wedding day will probably be one of the most stressful yet amazing days of your life, and you want real professionals helping you on your day. Richard and Paul captured every moment of my beautiful day, without being even slightly intrusive (for a lot of it I didnt even know they were there, yet they got every single moment)! My guests complimented me throughout the night about both of them (My 5 year old little girl loved them, so did my grandmother!), and even now, weeks after my day I'm still hearing about them!! Being totally honest, if you want people to be on time, well dressed, polite, professional, wonderful and amazing hire them! Guaranteed you will be writing your own reviews on every site you can find to spread the word about their work. :)

Richard is beyond increadible!! Our video brings tears to our eyes still today. My husband and I got married 7 wonderful months ago and I am so glad that Richard did such a great job on our video. Everyone that gets to see the trailer or the actual video. . . . . .they are just floored!! The editing, the music put in the back ground the shots everything was captured so well. the documentary style was very personalble as well. I think thats one of my favorite aspects of our video. thers so much more there than just a run of the mill video. Richard brings the shots to life and just shows how perfect our day really was. I reccomend him to everyone that I know, weather they are getting married or not!! If anything in the future should arise that I would need him again he will for sure be the only person I call to do our event! With the memories that he was able to preserve so perfectly. . . . . I will cherish them forever and will be grateful for the rest of my life knowing that everything was perfect and my husband and I can relive that day whenever we want. I reccomend him over anyone else!!
