Makeup by Mariam

So I am a little different from other people. I looked at different vendors and chose them purely on their quality of work. I did not read the reviews, because I can deal with difficult people for a couple hours especially to doll myself up. Purely on the photos, I chose Mariam because I loved her work. Now I know many people are not like me and read the reviews, so here I am to attest Mariam's work. I would absolutely 100% work with Mariam again and would recommend to anybody and everybody to book Mariam's services. She is very easy to work with, and her rates are so reasonable. Mariam is wonderful! It's so hard to find vendors that can handle Asian skin tone and hair!! I'm sure I scared her and Rhiannon when I gave them full creative control to do what they want. It's a trial run, so why not try things out? Also my belief is when you let artists do what they are passionate about, you get the most wonderful results. I did get to see the style I originally thought of (my back-up plan haha), but I loved what the two of them came up with. Ultimately we ended up going with another look we stumbled into and all loved, but the experience overall was super fun and reassuring that on my wedding day I had nothing to worry about. On my wedding day, I felt gorgeous!! I am not one to wear much make-up too nor do much with my hair. Mariam and Rhiannon were at my parents house for the Chinese tea ceremony by 7:30AM. Everyone was ready by 10AM. My makeup lasted even past the reception that ended at 11PM at night. My hair did too!! I am shocked that my hair (very fine silky Asian hair) could keeps super curly for that long. If you want to work with someone who is very flexible, professional, easy to work with, and delivers a high quality of work, you should definitely book Mariam. You will absolutely look beautiful on your wedding day, all with one less stress to worry about on the day of and the weeks before your wedding.

She is AWESOME!!!!! Her prices are sooo reasonable and she does a great job!!! My brother told me on the day of my wedding (7-3-11) that he had neven seen me look soo beautiful before!! =D Mariam is patient and never gets flustered, she continually asks you what you think; if you don't like it, she will re-do it no problem! Matter of fact, she was so sweet, that when I had one of my bridesmaids back out, I asked her to fill in!!! =D We quickly became very good friends and I am soooo glad that I was introduced to her!!! Mariam is AWESOME. She made me look and feel so beautiful on my wedding day. I received so many compliments on how great I looked. The makeup stayed flawless through even the end of the night! She also did such as great job on my mom's make up. I can't get over how amazing she looked. It was the best I have seen my mom look in recent years. I have had my makeup done by four different make up artists through the course of my wedding trials....and Mariam by far, are the best. She is super nice, responsive, patient, talented, and eager to please. On my makeup trial with her alone, she spent over 2 hours to perfect the look I want. It's hard to achieve the balance of looking like a glowing bride both in pictures & in person, and Mariam nailed it. So happy I found her!

Have had Mariam do my makeup several times for special occasions, and have never had a bad experience! She listens to the ideas and preferences I have, but tweaks them a tiny bit so they work with my features/skin tone to best flatter me. Added bonus - she kind of teaches you as she goes along and explains what she's doing, so you can try it out on yourself in the future. Cannot recommend her enough - I get compliments every time she does my makeup!
