When my son called to say "she said yes" we were so excited we could hardly contain ourselves. Then when he said they wanted to be married in Texas, I held my breath! As the mother of two boys I didn't think I would be planning a wedding, but with the bride and groom and her parents living out of state I was asked to help! So, with a list of venues, a friend and I started the visits. It was an easy choice! Hands down, there was nothing that compared to Old Glory Ranch! EXCELLENCE...from the moment we drove through the gate to the night we drove away after the wedding. The venue is perfection. So many of the places we had visited throughout Austin and the Hill Country looked great online but when we would get there we would see how poorly maintained they were. Not so with Old Glory Ranch. The decor, the buildings, and the grounds are maintained with great perfection. Suzanne did an amazing job with the design package creating the country Christmas look the bride had dreamed of, complete with twinkling lights, candles, berries and greenery. The list of suggested vendors and their recommendations were superb. Carey helped us find an incredible band that people are still talking about, pointed me in the right direction for a vendor that helped us choose invitations with the OGR flavor and people raved about the food and the way it was displayed and served by a caterer they highly recommended. At the last minute we decided to use a videographer, and Gina made that happen! We were made to feel like royalty on the day of the wedding. Every detail was taken care! They use headsets to make sure everyone knows what is going on and it makes for a perfect wedding! On cue, the violinist stopped, the bells rang and the bride entered. I tear up thinking about it even now. When I say everything is taken care of for you, I mean EVERYTHING! Carey even made a plate of food for me when she noticed I had not had a chance to eat ( too busy visiting). When the evening was over we were handed the keys to our car and everything we had brought there, along with the left over cake, a plate of food for my husband and I, and the left over alcohol was packed in there for us. My son and his bride left in their limo; Carey had made sure their luggage had been placed in the trunk, and plates of food and a bottle of champagne were inside for them to enjoy when they got to the hotel. That's EXCELLENCE! I could say so much more but I think you would get tired of reading the word excellence! I am forever grateful to Carey, Gina, Karen, and Suzanne. They were always there for us; answering phone calls and numerous emails, giving great advice, suggestions and in general calming me down in moments of panic or confusion. They made a dream come true for my son and his bride!

I was recently married at Old Glory Ranch. My parents had visited the property and took pictures because I was unable to get out to see the property. Even in the camera phone pictures I could tell it was the perfect location. My husband and I booked Old Glory before we had ever stepped in the property. Several weeks later when we were able to go see it, it was everything I had imagined and more. I can honestly say that Old Glory went above and beyond to make my day exactly how I pictured it. I was a more "unconventional" bride and had ideas for some things that they had never done. I.E. Get married in a field with a door frame and windows to resemble a "church with out walls" for the ceremony. They were so willing to help that picture come to life. Suzanne and her staff worked diligently for months on my day and she made it absolutely everything I envisioned. There is no place like Old Glory Ranch. The entire staff and all of the vendors that they use regularly are incredibly professional and willing to do just about anything you request. I was an out-of-town bride and every time I was able to go visit OGR they were incredibly friendly and as excited to talk about the wedding as I was. I visited the property several times, but even still I was absolutely amazed at the beauty of OGR on my wedding night. Lights glowing and music playing make it a wonderful location for almost any type of wedding. If the Texas Hill Country is calling your name for your wedding, I guarantee you that you will not be disappointed by going with Old Glory. I wish so much, like most brides I assume, that I could have a party at Old Glory Ranch EVERY weekend. It is SO MAGICAL!

After all of the planning and trips down to OGR, we could not have asked for a better day for our daughter and future son in-law. The attention to detail was outstanding and everything was done just the way she wanted it. I have never seen my daughter so happy, relaxed and enjoying HER day and it was all do to OGR. The staff there is very professional, and believe me I know I do alot of events myself. I did not worry about a thing. I was actually able to enjoy the wedding myself. I am still receiving complements on the evening and how beautiful everything turned out. Thanks to Suzanne, Gina, Karen, Carey and Liz for a job well done. I will recommend OGR to everyone.

It's hard to believe that a wedding could be perfect, but our daughter's definitely was. OGR was just what we hoped to find, a piece of the beautiful Texas Hill Country with a lovely chapel. OGR pays attention to every detail; our guests were delighted. Everyone especially liked the miniature donkeys bearing water and beer. I'll never forget hearing the bells chiming and seeing my daughter and her father in the carriage trotting to the chapel. The congregation gasped! Beautiful!
The staff is amazing.

What a place! ...Our wedding day at Old Glory Ranch was the day our dreams came true... Our wedding venue hunt was wide and infact international in scope. We had attended weddings at other Hill Country venues and I knew I wanted to get married there. Old Glory Ranch truly captures the Texas hill country spirit and essence - with its incredible views and vibes, the beautiful scenic spot that it occupies on the Blanco river and the outstanding natural beauty of the area. From the moment we entered Old Glory on our first visit together, I knew this was it. Every aspect of wedding admin liason with Old Glory was smooth and made so easy by their flexibility and happiness to always go the extra mile. From the vast array of absolutely wonderful choices - to get married by the river or at Chapel Hall (we chose the river and had the party into the evening at the gorgeous Chapel Hall), to the exceptional touches of detail and elegance that Suzanne and her team created, the miniature donkeys, the friendliness, the flowers, the caterers (we chose Don Strange who was awesome), the staff - so attentive and professional - everything was from a picture perfect fairytale dream. On the day, we felt treated like royalty, as did our guests. I knew this was going to be a day like no other, not just for me and my now husband but also for our friends and family. Everything was utterly first class: the idyllic setting in beautiful Wimberley, the gorgeous venue with its thoughtful details and touches, the great staff, food, music, everything was so amazing and even more than I ever dreamed it would be! I saw in People magazine that Jenna Lee the Fox News anchor recently got married here, and I can definitely see why she chose it!

Old Glory was very gracious in responding to our desires.
They were very helpful with suggestions and samples of previous weddings.
They create such a personal touch.
This made us feel special ,which makes the memories such a blessing.
It is still hard to imagine that it was so perfect.
My daughter & new son-in-law are still talking about the wedding with pride & joy!

Old Glory Ranch was a beautiful venue for a Texas-style wedding. The staff was extremely helpful and professional and especially on the day-of when they made everything go off like clockwork. Highly recommended!

My husband and I recently got married at OGR on March 31st, 2012. The OGR staff was more than accommodating in helping us to plan the perfect day from afar. We had a fairly short engagement (6 months) and lived out of town; however, we never once felt stressed because the OGR team goes above and beyond to take care of everything little detail. They helped with all vendor referrals and contracts (everything from hair/makeup to transportation), provided their own incredibly amazing floral team as well as the most talented and lovely wedding coordinators, Gina and Carey.
Looking back now, I would not change one thing about our ceremony or reception. The venue was stunning yet casual and the day went on without a hitch (at least to our knowledge!). Our friends and family are STILL talking about how fun, unique and beautiful our wedding was. What more could a girl ask for?! OGR is everything we dreamed of and then some. I would highly recommend this lovely Texas Hill Country venue.

When we first started planning the wedding, my then FI and I were living in Florida. My mom first went out to OGR, after I had found them online, toured the venue and emailed me pictures. I was instantly in love! I wanted the theme to be Rustic/Country but Elegant. OGR was the perfect fit. The donkeys were a huge hit, I'm glad we decided on them after all!The staff was extremely accommodating when trying to schedule meetings to fit our flying to and from Florida schedule and was always readily available by e-mail. It was also important to me that I was able to get everything I needed in one spot. OGR did just that. They have specific vendors they use for a DJ, horse and carriage (awesome!), and their in-house floral team. They also give a list of preferred vendors with comments about their work, like the baker and photographer. The day went off without a hitch. The day of coordinator and site manager, Carey and Karen were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond. The one thing I would cautious of is the design process, while they do amazing work, I would be extremely explicit in what you do like and do not like; also what theme you are going for. I asked for specific things regarding flowers and do not feel this was executed. For example, I wanted the flowers to only be oranges, yellows and reds, and somehow purple showed up in one of the arrangements at the reception. Being the bride, I am sure I am the only one that noticed because everyone commented on how beautiful everything was. Other than this, OGR was great and I hope to return to their annual Valentine’s Day event.

I was so impressed with the attention to detail and immediate service rendered on the wedding day. Anything I needed or forgot was provided immediately so I didn't have to worry about a thing. I could not have asked for a smoother day and a day when I could be more relaxed and free from stress.

Old Glory Ranch is a dream! I wanted the wedding they do every weekend with my own personal touches! It was absolutely perfect. They gave me the chic country wedding I had always dreamed of. The day of my mom and I didn't have to do a thing, everything was thought of and flowed perfectly. Thank you OGR!

Old Glory Ranch was fantastic!
The ceremony and reception venue were everything I could have ever wanted... simply stunning - from the acres of rolling hills to the miniature donkeys, the indoor and outdoor facilities to the ability to even have a fireworks show at your wedding - its just perfect!
The staff was professional and responsive which can be the greatest source of frustration for brides and grooms - no need to worry about a thing if you book your wedding at Old Glory Ranch.
All of my guests were blown away by everything... it was a completely unique experience for everyone.
If you want an elegant, Texas hill country wedding... this is the venue for you.

Old Glory Ranch was the perfect backdrop for my dream Hill Country Wedding. Suzanne McCord and her team were able to accommodate my last minute request to move the head table. The decor and designs were absolutely beautiful and Suzanne worked with me to fit this into my budget. Gina McClure was my main point of contact and I adored working with her. She dealt with my ever-changing ideas and helped me nail down specifics. We contracted Carey Millington with Bash Events for a day of coordinator and she was worth every penny! She kept Adam and I in check with our time line and handled moving all of the presents and other effects to the cars. The OGR bar staff was very professional and friendly.
Old Glory Ranch is truly and one-of-a-kind place and I will always remember July 31st as the most beautiful day of my life. I've received so many compliments about the beauty of Old Glory Ranch and comments such as "where did you find that place!"
Thanks for making our day so special!

I am an "older" bride (40+) and had pretty specific ideas about what I wanted my wedding day to be like. I wanted a venue that was half way between Austin and San Antonio and looked at dozens of wedding venues along the IH 35 corridor. The minute I drove up to OGR, I knew this was the place I wanted to get married. From the chapel to the pavillion and the beautiful hill country setting, it was simply perfect. I had a wonderful team made up of Gina (Marketing/Artistic Director), Carey (BASH Events) and Suzanne, the owner. They made sure every last detail was perfect and they didn't push anything on us that we didn't want. They were available to answer questions and always responded in a timely manner. On the day of my wedding, everything was perfect! The flowers were gorgeous and everything I asked for was taken care of. Carey, Gina and the OGR staff were always near to take care of any request or answer any question. I can't tell you what a relief it was to show up on my wedding day and simply enjoy every minute of it - I left the rest up to OGR and they executed a beautiful wedding. Everyone I've talked to said it was one of the most beautiful and fun weddings they've attended, and I agree with them. Old Glory Ranch will forever be a part of one of the best days of my life
