We were so excited to get both of our cakes from Simon Lee. The cakes turned out amazing and were both so delicious. I am so glad we opted to save the top of our cake so that we can have more of our amazing cake for our anniversary.

From the very beginning, I had the worst customer service experiences with Simon Lee. Judy is incredibly difficult to get in touch with...emails weren't returned for at least two weeks, if ever. Forget calling the shop, as no one ever answers and either the machine is full so you can't leave a message, or if you can, it won't be returned for days on end. They aren't very good about being flexible as far as meeting times go. We had to book our design meeting over a month out so I could take off of work early to meet with them. When my husband and I show up for said meeting, Judy is MIA, and Simon argues with us for a good 20 minutes claiming we did NOT have an appointment. After I showed him on my phone the confirmation email Judy had sent me for the meeting and he STILL argued with us, we started to leave and told him we would be using another vendor. Suddenly, he had time to meet with us, but continued to be rude and was rushing us the entire time. We should have tucked tail and gone with another vendor, but we had so many recommendations from other vendors and had heard such great things, we stuck with them, hoping it would right itself in the end. I brought multiple pictures of the design I wanted for my cake, but he argued with me again saying it couldn't be done and ended up doing what he thought looked good. Like a fool, I caved in. Making our two remaining payments afterwards was another huge hassle that I didn't need added to my wedding planning stress. They didn't call or email to remind me when a payment was due; I had to keep track of it myself, and again, getting in touch with them was a nightmare. Overall, the cakes looked great at the reception (even though I wasn't extremely pleased with the design of mine), and they tasted really well. However, even if we would have gotten good customer service, they still wouldn't have been worth the insanely high price tag. The complete lack of any resemblance of customer service and professionalism from Simon and Judy left an awful taste in my mouth - I will never use them again and hope that my story will keep this from happening to anyone else.

Delicious & Beautiful: I was so happy when I found out that my wedding venue Bella Notte on Main (Round Rock, TX) books through Simon Lee. Her cakes have been featured in a number of magazines as well as being top picks and consecutively been the Knot.com Winner. Simon Lee may not be the easiest person to get a hold of not the most personable, however her cakes are out this world.

My wedding cake was just as I imagined. The cake was delicious and looked so pretty displayed at the reception! I would definetely recommend Simon Lee Bakery, you will not be disappointed!Jeff & Robyn

I used Simon Lee Bakery for my wedding cake because it was included in my venue price, and I couldn't have been happier with their choice! Don't let their location throw you off, once you get inside and start the sampling you'll be in heaven! I went with an orange mousse flavor and my cake may have gotten more compliments than I did! The cake looked flawless and was delivered right to my venue!

Simon Lee has the most delicious cake in the Austin wedding industry. Believe you me, I did the footwork. Their cake is made the DAY OF your event. It hasn't been prepped and frozen like most other vendors, and you can clearly taste the difference. It is the best cake you will ever eat. This is the vendor that my planner used for her own wedding, my caterer used when she got married, and my florist used for her daughter's wedding. It speaks volumes when wedding industry people only trust one baker for their big day. They were lovely to work with and even rented me a cake stand at the last minute! I HIGHLY reccomend Simon Lee Bakery!!

Don't even taste anywhere else, or look for that matter. Simon Lee has the BEST cakes in the Austin area. Judy is one of the sweetest ladies you would ever want to meet. She is an artist and a master in her baking. Super delicious cakes and just beautiful! She really wants to know you personally and takes the time to find out what you want in your wedding cake. I had a different flavor in every layer, and was surprised that the price was so reasonable. Delivery was as scheduled with ZERO issues! If you taste other cakes, or think there is a comparison....there isn't. Judy's cakes are absolutely out of this world!

There isn't another bakery that even comes close to Simon Lee. They are UNBELIEVABLE. Everyone at my wedding is still commenting on how the cake was the best they have ever had. I knew when I first started planning my wedding years ago, Simon Lee was going to be our vendor- no one else. I don't know why anyone else would go with any other bakery- they would be crazy! SIMON LEE IS THE BEST BEST BEST IN AUSTIN!

Simply the best. I had my wedding cake and groom's cake made by Simon Lee and truly cannot put into words what an amazing job they did. I had requested a standing Jack Daniel's barrel for the groom's cake and they created it perfectly. It looked real. Not only did both cakes look amazing they tasted wonderful. I highly recommend the chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling. Truly delicious. Judy at the bakery is wonderful to work with. She even called the Friday before the wedding just to check in. I really can't say enough wonderful things about this vendor. Use them and you will not be sorry!!!

Judy's creations for our wedding and groom cakes was amazing. They were so clean and beautiful and we got tons of compliments. My husband was ecstatic with his cake and Simon Lee Bakery was right on target with what he had envisioned. She's a little hard to get a hold of, but that's understandable with all the business she has, although it can get a little bothersome for an impatient bride (which most of us might be a month before our wedding!) Overall she was awesome to work with, she helped us out with our budget tremendously and did everything and more that we asked of her. thank you judy!!

I went to several bakeries before deciding on Simon Lee Bakery. The decision came easy at the end since their cakes are pure perfection. I cannot say enough positive things about Judy and Jad, they were very friendly and professional. They went out of their way to make sure my dream cake was created. I was beyond pleased to see my cake come wedding day. It stood so lovely in the room. I had so many compliments on the cake and all my guests were amazing how beautiful the cake was and the fact that it tasted as good as it looked. It was like a piece of art with such detail. Perfection is what Judy and Jad are all about.I highly recommend them. Especially when you want nothing but the best. Thank you again for making my wedding cake so memorable Judy and Jad.

What can I say about Judy except LOVE LOVE LOVE! Judy! I have some picky eaters in my family. Family from NY to CA and after 19 days of being married, they are still raving about it! Our cake was so beautiful and delicious! I had a slice for breakfast the morning after the wedding! You did an amazing job and did not disappoint. I have MANY guests who continue to tell me it was the best wedding cake they have ever eaten. Thank you for helping our vision come to life! Simon Lee is absolutely amazing! Judy is so sweet and accommodating and she really draws out (literally) what you're imagining for your cake and brings it to life. She and Jad are a great team...very talented and easy to work with. During our meeting we got to try a few different kinds of cakes and then we talked about the design, which, somehow through my clumsy description, she was able to carry out to perfection. The end result was beautiful and simple and it tasted absolutely delicious. We had three layers and three different flavors - vanilla with strawberry filling, plain vanilla, and red velvet and all three were a hit. We only had a little bit of cake left over at the end of the night, which we gladly took home and finished off within the next couple of days! I really could not have been happier with my experience with Simon Lee and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for both an artist and amazing baker!

Food and cake were the parts of my reception that I wanted to stand out. Simon Lee helped me accomplish this with our wedding and groom's cake. We got a simple square tiered white cake with grand marnier and fresh strawberries and butter cream frosting with green leaves cascading down. For the groom's cake it was a large sheet cake of chocolate with chocolate mousse and chocolate grenache on top.Both cakes tasted fantastic. Yes, Simon Lee is a little pricey but for the amazing cake you get it is totally worth it. Both of our cakes got devoured.

I had a Simon Lee Cake for my wedding and it was the best cake I ever had. Not only was it beautiful to look at, but it was delicious. All of my guests were so impressed! I can't wait to order another cake from there!

THE BEST WEDDING CAKES IN TOWN!!! We loved everything about working with Simon Lee - the deliciousness of their cakes is unmatched, their look & quality of work is perfect, and their kindness and professionalism is rare. Judy and Jad took such great care of us.I must have changed my mind about the style of cake at least 5 times - each time they were so helpful and patient. My final choice was actually one that Judy recommended and it turned out better than I could have imagined! She read me so well and got the cake spot on. I cannot stop looking at pictures of my cake!Daniel's cake was a basketball on a sheet cake base that looked like a basketball court - amazing! The detail and accuracy of everything blew everyone away. We had so many guests tell us it was the best cake they've ever had and we completely agree. Simon Lee is worth every delicious penny.

THE BEST TASTING WEDDING CAKES!! Judy Lee and Jad Simon are wonderful to work with, and they make whatever you visualize into a piece of art. They are the only ones I go to for all my cake needs!

We had heard such great things about Simon Lee before we decided to use them for our wedding cake. We were disappointed several times along the way with our experience while working with Simon Lee. We had to go in on two separate occasions for a tasting because they did not have all the flavors available for tasting the first time (though they did not ask us for our requests prior to our first visit so we would be able to try everything the first time). Once we found the flavors we liked, we were astounded by the cost they were charging for a small cake to feed 100 people. Even down grading to a less expensive cake/filling was still outrageously expensive! To top it off, by the time I saw the cake at my wedding, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of their work; especially for paying $600+ for a cake that did not look good! The details were completely lacking with the overall finish of the cake. The ribbon that wrapped around the cake was falling here, bowed out there - just completely lacking the professional look we thought we were paying for. Though I was disappointed in the cake's end result, the owner did call me after discovering that I was unsatisfied and discussed why I was not happy with the cake. She then offered to refund me a portion of the cost, to which I am thankful! I greatly appreciated the gesture to try to make things right. Though, unfortunately, it doesn't change the way my cake looked on my wedding day.
