I absolutly loved Texas Old Town. I fell in love with it the moment we went to look. They were very helpful and always answerd my questions no matter how off the wall they were. They put in a nice stone path to the ceremony site prior to my wedding which was so nice and even got in new white chairs for the site in time for us to use. They looked great in the pictures! I cannot say enough good things about TOT!

Texas Old Town was exactly what I was looking for for my reception... rustic yet elegant... it gave a comfortable feeling with the stuffiness that hotel venues often feel like... but not too country. At TOT, you pay for the venue, and are responsible for doing everything else on your own, which was great for me. It allowed me to have the beautiful dream wedding that I wanted with paying like $100+ a head for food and alcohol (as I contracted each of those out on my own separately). I used Sage Hall (TOT has 3 diff halls available). It was awesome b/c it's secluded so you feel like you have your own party without other people barging in on it. Sage Hall is beautiful -- wooden venue with adorable windows, round tables (but you have to rent your own linens), and lots of space to dance. The staff at TOT were great. I dealt mostly with Danny, who was prompt to respond to all my questions and requests.TOT is also great b/c as long as there is not anything going on the night before your event, you can come in and decorate the night before -- which really helps calm things down the day-of. Overall, wonderful experience. Everything I hoped for and more... and I highly recommend Texas Old Town to people around the Kyle area (I was in Austin for the ceremony... but it was well worth the drive!)

Danny was very pleasant and nice to work with the whole way through. The venue speaks for itself- it's gorgeous! We had an awesome, unbelievable wedding, and would recommend Texas Old Town to anyone.

It was the BEST decision we ever made to be married here. Larry and his staff were so helpful like working with friends. Trust me weddings are stressful enough and any hiccups I had was immediately handled with smile and a no problem at all. The location doesn't need much decor just some of your own personal touches because it is so beautiful by itself and they let my family go in early on the day to set the tables. Larry designed the place with so many careful details like the ceremony location has a great sound system and the design of the reception hall & ceremony site helps take such beautiful pictures as well. And the guests loved the food too which they use their own smoke pit which was an area my husband liked along with grooms dressing room to hang out at beforehand. I loved the location, the value, and working with great people! I would recommend it to any friend because they became our friends to help create our special day.

My husband and I enjoyed working with Danny at Texas Old Town. He was professional and the facility is beautiful! It has a very natural "Texas" look. All of our guests commented on how beautiful everything was. I think you can dress it up or make it casual. We chose somewhere in the middle. It is great to have access to the facility all day and Danny worked with us on the date since we had to change it after we scheduled. Most everything was as he said it would be on the day of the wedding. The only negative was that there were not enough chairs for the ceremony, we were 25 chairs short of the 100 that were supposed to be there. My husband asked for the chairs and we never got them. Only some people had to stand for our ceremony. Since luckily, we had less guests than we planned on. The recommended caterer is Dagars and Danny worked with them to get them to make our date available. We really liked Dagars's food and service! They were great and we were happy that they could be available that day. Texas Ritas, the required bartender service, was good to work with. Kelly, the bartender for the night, was great! The cost at Texas Old Town is a little lower than other "ranch" venues due to less service options being offered. We set up our own tables and chairs as well as chairs for the ceremony. Other places we checked did that for you, but cost a few thousand more. We had a lot of friends and family who helped us set up and tear down everything. (Although I believe that TOT would have taken the tables and chairs down for us.) The clean up of the meal was a part of the catering contract. We are so happy that we had our wedding at Texas Old Town! We would choose this venue again if we could redo it all and we would gladly recommend it to other people. Thank you TOT for a great experience!

If you have never been to Texas Old Town in Kyle, it is beautiful. I had my ceremony elsewhere and had the reception there. The natural beauty of each facility meant that I didn't have to spend a lot on decorations. I was able to bring in my own alcohol which saved my fiance and I a lot of money and the tables and chairs were already provided and they were pretty chairs too so I didn't have to worry about fixing them up too much, either. They have three facilities on site, one can accomodate a smaller crowd, another has a more rustic feel to it but Sage Hall, which is where I had my reception had the beautiful look of wood without being too rustic. You definately need to see this place for yourself!

It was a fabulous venue. My new son-in-law is from Pennsylvania and he wanted his PA family to see a Texas wedding. It went really well. The place is beautiful and was really enhanced by our decorations both inside and out.Everything is laid out well and very convenient for the various wedding vendors, bridal party and guests.

Beautiful venue for ceremony and reception. Client rents empty venue, so must arrange all other vendors and services, which allows much freedom of choice of vendors. This allows more creativity, but does mean more organization and work for client. Vendor does provide "preferred" list.

I recently had my wedding here, and I loved how beautiful it was! We picked it because we wanted a simple wedding with very little extra decorations (and to save money!). I loved the venue, but the service wasn't that great. When we originally booked the venue, we scheduled a tour. We had to wait for 15 minutes before Danny showed up for us. We called 2 different numbers, and the office was locked. My husband was ready to give up on the place, but I was so excited about the sheer beauty of the place, we stayed. And we loved it. About 3 months before the wedding, Danny called us and told us that we did not owe a final payment like we thought, but in fact had overpaid already. I requested that in writing (I wanted to be sure to follow the contract), and 2 days later he wrote me saying that he was wrong and we still owed an entire payment. When we showed up to set up for the wedding, there were no chairs anywhere in the hall like they promised. We had to track someone down for the chairs.Overall, I loved the venue. It was absolutely beautiful. We had several guests tell us that it was gorgeous. I took points away from my rating because of dealing with Danny and his lack of knowledge. However, I would still recommend this venue- just be prepared to deal with him.

Our wedding was amazing and we loved every second of it and we would do it again at old town but here are a few things you should be ready for.....We had our wedding at Texas Old Town it was beautiful. In the contract it states that the floors would be cleaned and waxed before each event. The day of our wedding the floor were filthy. My dress was black on the bottom from the bridal room upstairs, and I was only in it for about 30 mins. While everyone was setting up for the wedding Texas Old Town allowed people to tour....which i can understand to a point but they brought in three different groups of people before my dad said NO MORE they did not tell me this until after the wedding :) thank god!!! But one of the tours had the entire family mom dad grandma grandpa whole nine yards and the people where touching our belongs....not to mention they were going to allow them into the bridal room where my dress was hanging as well as all the purses and belongs....this was absolutely unacceptable in my opinion.... think about it on your wedding day this is the last thing you want to worry about...we bought our table cloths offline from cvimports.com....great site they were cheaper than to buy than to rent anywhere else especially Austin party central... they are very expensive but anyway one of the tours a lady was touching the table cloths and they were satin so she could have easily knocked over something on accident messing up a table cloth which in return would have ruined one of my tables because we only had enough for the specific number of table we had planned for. Danny was very nice always but we were a little disappointed the day of, but needless to say the wedding turned out beautiful...we picked old town because it was just what we were looking for so if you choose to do your wedding here just be aware!!!! It is a beautiful place, and we are glad we did it their. We got www.fuschaksbbq.com to cater and they were great very professional and very good prices!!! the food was amazing and tasted great. The owner even called the next day to ensure that everything was okay and apologized for not coming.
